Hi, I currently have a driver with 3 races left on his contract. My current league season is running for another 5 races. The problem is my driver currently leads in the driver championship and I'm only being given an option to extend his contract for 50 more races, I really don't want to hold onto this driver next season because I have already invested in a better replacement for him. So my question is if I renew his contract and then decide to sell him off at the end of this current season (after 5 more races) he will have 45 races left on his renewed contract, will I be obliged to pay for his remaing races or can I just sell him regardless without worrying about incurring any additional expenses/fees? Sorry I'm not familiar with the regulations that apply as I'm relatively new to the game (1st season) Also does the same apply to non-driver staff. TIA

You can sell him without paying the remainder of his contract. The only exception to this is if he decides to announce his retirement when you renew his contract. If this happens you will have to pay his wages for the remaining races.
The same rule applies to staff.
If it's Dinius you're talking about don't worry, he's too young to be thinking of retiring.
