What can I do to reduce the amount of engine wear each race? Does upgrading the car reliability affects engine wear?

Hello Fabian,
Increasing the amount of DP put into Reliability reduces the engine wear, but because it always costs 1 engine to repair it (irrespective of how damaged it it) many experiences managers say that investing in both Cooling and Reliability is futile as they do not have a great impact on your car's speed.
