Hello,

I currently race in a league of eight teams, with all of us racing in Pro.

However, four of us have gained ballast, and it looks very likely that another two will in the very near future.

We are just a group of friends who enjoy non-competitive racing, and are worried that six teams having ballast could harm this.

I know that manual promotions are not allowed, but I wondered if anyone could offer some advice on how we could improve the situation. Ideally, we would all like to be racing in Elite with no ballast.

Thank you, and I appreciate responses.

It's a bit of work and takes some time but I'd prepare 16 dummy accounts between you and put them into a new one car league for one season. As it's the first season 8 of them will promote to Pro (take care to log into them to repair every few days to avoid the league inactivity closing). Now start two new 2 car leagues and put 4 of the Pro dummies into them each and schedule the last race to happen during a longer season break of your real league. Before that last race of the two dummy leagues 4 of you enter each and the dummy accounts also switch to the other league in order to have 0 points, make sure the real teams score in front of the dummies in that last race and the 4 (again twice as usual as it's first season of a new league) real accounts promote to Elite. The real teams switch back into your real league to start into their next season.

Thank you for the advice Frank.

I'm sure that we will be able to do that. It will be of great help to us.

Thank you again. Have a nice day.

You're welcome. One thing coming to mind, your real league shouldn't shut down during the short absence of teams but to be entirely on the safe side you could enter 2-3 of those remaining Rookie dummies so it's not completely empty.
