What information are you looking for?

Hi Kevin
the info thats on the race tab,  overtaking chances,  road bumpiness, fuel cosumption, tyre wear etc
if its available for all the tracks that would be great if not ill just get it race by race

OK. I wondered if you meant the circuit length and records because these are available. I don't know of any way to get the information you are after but if there is a way surely someone will know.

However, I wonder what value those little bar charts are. I've done some tests and as far as I can tell the fuel consumption bar is meaningless, the circuit has no influence on fuel consumption, they are all the same. So if fuel consumption means nothing what are the others telling me?

On a computer, you can right-click on the bar and select "Inspect Element", the you can access the percentage.

From my experience, the overtaking chance is quite useful, but I agree that fuel consumption and tyre wear seems to be less relevant.
I think it is linked to how much fuel you need per race. One with high consumption will ask for 2.7L/lap where a low fuel consumption will be 1.9L/lap for example.

Kevin / Wambou Wambou
Thank you the reason i asked for this information is because i think the way i setup my strategy is missing an important element to which some of the stats i think can help me the overtaking chance being quite relevant and maybe the road bumpiness but not as much, the tyre and fuel elements i get myself each race anyway but all helps when deciding on a strategy

Wanbou i will go check your advice thank you for replying much apreciated

Hi Wambou.

Agreed, I suppose I'm talking more about fuel economy as measured in MPG or Litres/100Km. For example, you would expect the cars racing at a high speed, high power circuit such as Monza, Spa or Silverstone to have a much higher fuel consumption than they do at Monaco... but if you work it out, in iGP this isn't the case, they're all pretty much the same.

As far as I can tell there are only two factors that have a bearing on fuel consumption as measured in Litres/100Km, the fuel economy attribute and the level of push you use during the race. So the consumption per Km in Monaco in the winter on SS tyres (when you're on PL5 for the entire race) is actually higher than Monza.

The consumption per lap is simply a function of the length of a lap, so if this is what the bar is supposed to represent I expect Belgium will have the highest (I haven't checked if this is the case).

Hi Wambou

Do you mind telling me which part shows the percentages i have right clicked the bar and got the element list scrolled through but cant find the actual percentages

Kevin my take on fuel and tyres that this is a general percentage then you have to take into account your own level

this is included in my setup at the moment and taken into account as i imagine in most peoples setup i imagine

No the fuel is not a general percentage, for all circuits the cars do the same MPG figure for a constant FE attribute.
Try it, you know the lengths of each circuit, leave your FE at one value for the entire season and after each race calculate the fuel consumption in MPG or Litres/Km. What you will discover is that for a FE attribute of 33 your fuel consumption will be 0.5 Litres/Km with a tolerance of plus or minus 0.01 litres/km regardless of the circuit and the tolerance appears to be related to push level.
So if the fuel consumption bar graph for each circuit is different, it should be, as Wambou says, an indication of fuel usage per lap. And if this is the case then given the fuel consumption is fixed by the FE attribute and not the characteristics of the circuit, the longer circuits should be higher fuel consumption than the shorter ones.
I have way too much time on my hands LOL

Edit: This is only a theory, it has not come from developers so please don't take it as a fact. Thank you.

Kevin, just from memory Belgium is indeed the circuit that requires the most fuel/lap.

Andy, here is an example:

Kevin i agree with you but may of put it across wrong

Just so im on the correct page if you were to improve FE attribute from 32 to say 50 then this would also lower the amount of fuel used per lap?

So whether you are racing Monaco or Baku the litres per lap will be the same

although this doesnt make sense to me now as i never thought of it this way because as you say the longer tracks should have  ahigher fuel cosumption than the shorter tracks

Thankyou Wambou must apreciated

Since Kevin and I seem to think similarily in this case I try to answer. Yes, higher FE is and should reduce consumption per lap.

No, consumption per lap between two tracks aren't and shouldn't be the same, except by accident for similar features or those features equalising each other.
Currently it's just the length of the track and the PL it allows to employ that's influencing consumption for a given car. Consumption per distance stays the same bar PL, so since races are about meant to go over the same distance the total consumption is also roughly the same.

Which is odd as tracks have quite different stats which also affect consumption, amount of time at full throttle mostly, and thus we'd expect that consumption bar to reflect that, how high consumption is on this track per distance (and thus fuel needed to cover the race, or stint) while actually it seems to be just a measure of lap length and same consumption on all tracks and thus just reflecting the need for one lap (and pretty useless information in it's generalised form).
