Curious scientific tactical technical question:

If I am about to enter the pit or am I already doing it, with the vsc activated, do I still lose more time than usual or do I practically win the lottery?

Yes you do. I've had the opportunity to go pitting with one driver when VSC happened. He came out of pit 5s ahead his teammate, which made me lose 25% KERS to bring them together again.
