I have only just read this thread, I expect your race is most likely finished. But going forward, you're very early in your iGP career, competing in a Rookie tier with a restricted design range whereas most of the people who respond to this thread are probably quite experienced and compete in an Elite tier which has an entirely different design range.
The best advice I can give is... Do your practice laps, look at the previous race winning strategy and adapt this by taking into account the tyre wear and fuel consumption from your practice laps.
If you don't have any previous race data for the circuit, try spectating a race at the same circuit, same distance and same tier. Above all I suggest that you make notes of all the important information from this race so that for future races you have a sound starting point. If you don't win this season, at least you'll have a much better chance next season.
