Selling extended contracts

Hello..
I have a CD who's contract is due to expire after next race.
i have 7 races remaining in my league..
i want to start the next season with a new CD and i was thinking about extending the current CD contract (which is to 50 races)
and release/sell the CD after current season.

My Question is "Should i have to pay the remaining contract length before releasing/selling a staff member/driver?"

You will only pay the full contract value if the staff (CD in this case) is going to retire on the next contract. Otherwise you can sell them as soon as the 1st race of the new contract.
So pay attention to their age if you want or have to change staff members before their contract gets renewed.

Anything over 70 is a risk, 74 or 75 if their morale is 20

what are the benifits of having a high morale?

Nothing major, but high morale means your staff, and drivers, are more likely to retire much older than those with low morale
