We're still having the same problem, it's unplayable, the game keeps freezing, this has been going on for a long time and no solution has been found, problem solved.

It's unfortunate to play like this. We can't develop our potential in races, we can't do anything about the jerks, and no one is offering a solution to this problem.

It's a shame to have to play like this, but the worst thing is that they want to charge us for this update. Fix the problem first, then we'll talk about payment. You're making people want to quit the game.

Hi Colin.

I managed to record this a few days ago and already shared the video with Jack. Were you playing in 2D or 3D? If it was 2D, did the cars line up on the grid with the pole sitter already around the first corner like this...

This screen shot was taken at about the same time using the 3D viewer...

I think the reason the race looks wrong in 2D is because of the offset, the cars appear to slow down part way along the DRS straight in 2D because they're actually just rounding turn 11 coming on to the straight. This may also be why DRS "appears" to activate part way down the straight.

A server is running out of memory. It is a memory leak. It only impacts races on that specific server, not the whole service, but during peak hours every server gets a lot of races.

The current reality I live with is if I am 10 minutes late to my desk to stop a memory leak, for some of you it's the same as nothing works for an entire week, because it's happening when your race is on. I understand and accept that reality, and will be building in as much redundancy as I can in the next few days to stop this from being necessary (I should not be a necessary part of the system).

I'm here now and working to ensure this doesn't happen again for the rest of the night, and from tomorrow will be able to work on it full-time on this stuff. I have been unable for a few days as I was parenting my children and that split my focus significantly. For the next week I will be working solidly on iGP and can finish addressing the last few problems like this.

So my 1st race was meant to be in Netherlands race viewer started we were on grid got green light and it froze and since then nothing happens. We can't even get the race viewer loaded anymore for all the players.

Your race is the one that caused the memory leak on that server. I have identified the issues are consistently appearing on 2 tracks (Abu Dhabi and Netherlands), so I'm re-exporting those now and will be uploading them to the service shortly.

I have the same problem, since the upgrade.
It happens to a greater or lesser extent on all tracks.
I have just posted a bug report on this regarding the French track. The race just finished minutes ago.

The cause of the issues is outlined in this thread:
https://igpmanager.com/forum-thread/64092

I'm going to close this thread to move all discussion there. I want to to centralise discussion around the real cause and the solution in the other thread, avoid any more "nothing is happening" or "nobody cares" talk. We're fixing it, taking it very seriously, going as fast as we can, and perhaps it's already fixed (initial signs look good). See the other thread for more info.
