iGP Manager 3D - Bugs mega thread

The idea and vision behind this update is great. The exceution, however, ranges anywhere from "very poor" to "total fail".

This 3D update feels unnecessary in several ways. Not only does it turn the app into a massive data leech at roughly 1 GB of space,  but the 3D race view feels disadvantageous compared to the 2D view. The camera constantly rotates in 3D view, yeaving you disoriented as to exactly where you are on the track, plus you can't view as much of the track in 3D view as you would in 2D, which is vital for someone who only races in 2 car leagues as I do. So in my eyes, the 3D view is completely useless and the app now takes up a lot more space for little to no good reason at all. Add to that the other changes in gameplay with the tracks, tires, and DRS, this feels like a completely different game now, with only the name and basic objective being the same. It no longer feels like the game I've played for the last 4 years.

It seems like way too big of a change to do all at once, and the bugs that came with it prove so. It certainly doesn't help that this update was rushed out to meet a deadline, which in game development is almost always a recipe for disaster. To quote the great Shigeru Miyamoto: "A delayed game is eventually good. A rushed game will be forever bad". With today's technology, any bugs found in games can be fixed with future patches. But one thing I feel that gets lost on rushing out games or major updates is this: First impressions count. A major change to a game like this may bring in more new players,  but at the cost of potentially turning off a good chunk of existing players if not implemented smoothly.

As seen through reading this thread, a few have already been turned off from the game because of this update and how it was implemented. Even though I have faith in the dev team to get the bugs and kinks sorted out, I must admit the way the update was brought in along with the lack of personal value I see in it leaves a very bad taste in my mouth. It's bad enough that even if this update improves over time I'm not sure if I'd stay long enough to see it through as I'm questioning whether or not I even want to stick around past my current league season.

Successful launch from browser to app, full race and clean exit while browser was still open. Kudos team.
Having said that the race itself and switching back and forth between views was just absolutely...flawless.

Solange kann ich auch nicht im 2D Modus spielen.

A much smoother 3D experience yesterday, I host a 2x speed league and ran the update. For me, Monaco was a smooth race.
Only thing is the aerial view keeps rotating as I said earlier. As its meant to be helicopter view, it makes sense but for managing a race its difficult.

Well done devs to get this update out there and provide 3 game updates in 3 days, all n all this is a speedy recovery to an important update. An update which propelled this game from 2D a few decades forward.

If you could please add the option to have a fix viewpoint or angle and fix the amount of parts used, that for me would solve the last of important issues I have with this update, that for me would make the update a succesful launch into the future of this game 

My issue rather for now, is the inability to watch live races. Which a first sight to see glimpses of something new...

i just watched one. From all views in 3D app itself. It has the same issue trying to open the app from browser as the race did. Have you tried it just from the app?

I can no longer download the launcher, it keeps loading and I cannot register there, the "@" character cannot be inserted.

I can't play in 2D mode until then.

Please correct the problem quickly.

my 2D works nicely in chrome Browser, just have to close the app window that opens and jump on the pop up window...

Me too only join a quickrace cannoy join a league race before this new update i was able join a league race!! 

A few of my League members could not join the race.

I can't find anywhere the button to set sound volume. I was using earphones to talk to some teammates at Discord and it was unplayable with game sound ON. Is there anyway to reduce the volume during 3D racings?

There must be the volume settings during the race.

The very last box of the race viewer on the top row opens the settings it has a volume + & -

Might be my computer doing updates or something, but as last two quick races, it seems like there in a delay switching pushing level and using boost

I also noticed the The lights of the starting grid (lightouts) are also bugged, on my last videos we can see that they did not light up ( 3 D views ) in version 4.003
