Points System need's tweaking.

I the think points system needs changing, as a lot of the time there's 16 teams and 32 drivers or 32 teams in 1 car league, just the top 10 scoring is not enough, every race we have 22 cars not scoring and with the top 3 teams scoring most races that leaves 26 cars going for the 4 remaining points places, it really needs to be top 15 or 16 drivers getting points so the lower teams are actually scoring some points occasionally rather than spending the whole season on zero points or getting just 1 or 2 points, its demotivating for teams not scoring race after race season after season.
 
could use this format by just cutting out the 2 point gaps after 4th place which will get the top 15 scoring and is still the same overall points scored in a race as usual. Even though it’s different from real life F1 it doesn’t matter to me as this game is only loosely based on real F1 in a lot of areas already. (like the fact in real life there's 20 cars on track and 10 of them can score points, in this game we have 32 cars on track)

Definitely agree with this, it would give the teams that are lower down or who have just been promoted a real chance to enjoy the races in all tiers instead of walking away disappointed that they just missed out on what could be valuable points. Also it wouldn't change the amount of points available each race like William said but may motivate everyone in the league to do a setup and strategy and then turn up to the race.

Agree as well, many players get dissatisfied with the game fighting out of point for much of the season. Especially if there are 5 top players in a 2 cars league, meaning that they just take all point in most races. 

I do agree as well. It will help the lower teams get some points not getting no points at all.

I use the MotoGP scoring system for our side-game to give the slower teams more chance at scoring.
1st - 25
2nd - 20
3rd - 16
4th - 13
5th - 11
6th - 10
7th - 9
8th - 8
Etc.... 

Agree with this for sure. It is definitely disheartening when the same teams are hogging points and you have 12 teams fighting for 1 point.

Totally agree, it will give more competition to the smaller teams who instead scored no points will score a couple of points and make the midfield battle more competitive. 

Agreed. Top 15 would be ideal. 

I agree too, any style that isn't the F1 one would be better because it gives too many of the points to the top lot. Hopefully this gets introduced but maybe it should be made optional to account for leagues that want to stick to the typical style

I totally and absolutely agree with y'all!

It would be nice to have an option to choose either points system in every league. Nothing wrong with more options. It can be discouraging for casual players to constantly not attain points due to less than one third of the field getting them.

I think you made a mistake 

I disagree.....but then I preferred when you had to finish 6th to get a single point in F1 and often had to pre-qualify. Scoring a point REALLY meant something in those years. 

It was intentional

back in those years with pre-quali (late 80's & early 90's from when i watched it) most races had less than 15 finishes out of the 26 that started and often less than 10, basically if you finished you were in the points or just outside... bit different with 32 finishers every race.

Why should driver who finished 12th get same amount of points as 11th

Why should the driver who finished 17th get the same amount of points as 18th, or 22nd and 23rd, or 30th and 31st?
