I've got my race in 2 hours time and wondering what tyres I should use? I was thinking maybe medium or hard but want your advice?

Depends on track temp, meds come alive in second part of longer stints if its 30 above degrees. Don’t use the hard tyres.

So shall I just use mediums? Or could I use soft tyres

How many laps? What is your tyre wear on SS (or any one of the compounds you tested)? And what is your fuel consumption per lap?

Were doing 27 laps and I haven't done any of my practice yet as was waiting to see what you all suggest

Do one run on SS first please. You only need to do a run on SS to know the wear of the other tyres too. the tyres and stint length you should use depends on your wear and fuel consumption. SS/S/S or S/S/S or M/M or S/M could all be good options depending on your numbers. It is extremely difficult to give you advice on strategy without knowing the wear and fuel.

I will reply quick so check back in a few minutes. Is your race in 30 minutes now or in 1 hour?

EDIT: You are taking too long and I am a bit busy. I am not sure I have much time to wait but I will try. If I can't, I won in similar temperature in a 27 lap race recently. I had 16% wear on SS.

SS 6 laps. Push level 1 all the way (PL 5 at the start but go down to 1 after the first corner)
S 10 laps. PL 1 on straights and higher in the corners (keep an eye on that temp)!
S 11 laps. same as above
You can also run 6/11/10 but it depens on what you think the others will do.

I ran my tyres a little bit longer than usual but got away with it because of the high temp.
It also very much depend on the dynamic of the entire grid. If you are very few  managers and they start on harder compounds, it will be difficult for you to catch DRS when you re-enter after the first pitstop

2nd place ran S/S/S and 3rd place ran MM so yeah all three strats can work. If you have higher wear than 16% I would suggest either of the other two options.

Multiply your fuel consumption per lap with amount of laps in that stint and round the number up to the closest integer.

This is a bit rough but you didnt give me much to work with ;) Good luck!

Hi Chloe

I have only just read this thread, I expect your race is most likely finished. But going forward, you're very early in your iGP career, competing in a Rookie tier with a restricted design range whereas most of the people who respond to this thread are probably quite experienced and compete in an Elite tier which has an entirely different design range.

The best advice I can give is... Do your practice laps, look at the previous race winning strategy and adapt this by taking into account the tyre wear and fuel consumption from your practice laps.

If you don't have any previous race data for the circuit, try spectating a race at the same circuit, same distance and same tier. Above all I suggest that you make notes of all the important information from this race so that for future races you have a sound starting point. If you don't win this season, at least you'll have a much better chance next season.
