The Chassis Supplier feature is now live.

We’ve also added a new in-game tutorial for the Chassis Supplier screen and improved tooltips to better explain how the system works.

πŸ”§ 21 Jan - Update 1: Bug Fixes & Anti-Farming Measures

We’ve rolled out the first update based on early feedback.

Cost Calculation Fix

Supplier costs were being calculated incorrectly, which made them higher than intended in some cases. This is now fixed.

  • Supplier base cost is $500,000 per customer (as originally designed)

  • Production tech reduces your supplier costs (up to $200,000 savings at max level)

  • Minimum cost with full upgrades: $300,000 per customer + delivery fees

Production upgrades now correctly reduce supplier costs (not customer prices).

Anti-Farming Protection

To prevent fake/alt accounts being used to farm supplier benefits, customers only count towards your Chassis Data, Design Points, and research bonus if they meet ALL of the following:

  • βœ… In a league

  • βœ… Manager level 5+

  • βœ… Raced within the last 14 days

Existing Contract Cleanup

We have terminated any existing chassis supply agreements where the customer does not meet these requirement. Creating accounts to farm supplier bonuses is pointless. You’ll need real, active customers.

What This Means for Suppliers

  • Build out your tech tree to attract customers

  • Production upgrades now meaningfully reduce your operating costs

  • Only real, active customers will contribute to your supplier bonuses

What This Means for Customers

  • Your pricing is still based on your manager level

  • You receive design bonuses on the supplied components based on your supplier’s tech

It's crazy that the vendor doesn't get data points for their races.

And, of course, no update can be released without bugs. You can't skip the tutorial even if you've already completed it. I think it's because the word "tutorial" is in the address bar - https://igpmanager.com/app/d=chassis&id=12615&jsReply=tutorial&tutorialName=chassis

I have to admit that you are cooking with this update. The launch was an absolute mess, but this is the best update to the game since the release in smartphones.

Je n arrive a supprimer les contrats, comme pour le moteur..

Lorsque je clique sur le croix pour résilier un " client" rien ne se passe.
Normal? Ou bug?

Sorry Jack,

but the fact that you only earn points if you have customers is an invitation to farming, not a fight!!
Acording to this situation I spent 100 million to become chassis manufacturer and, in order to get benefits for myself, I have to beg someone to become my customer?!?
And in the meantime, those who have a thousand accounts get benefits... sorry, but it seems to me like an invitation to create moraccounts.
if things stay this way, I'll do it.
Best regards

Based on your feedback and others, I may fundamentally change the system on the supliier side this week. Customers will remain the same.

I will also be fixing some remaining bugs today, like chassis suppliers will not be able to be customers to other suppliers. Any contracts set up will be cancelled today and that will be blocked. That was obviously unintentional.

Thank you,

I think that if you could earn points even without having customers, it would be fair, because otherwise you would have to compete against those who cleverly have more accounts and use them to their advantage.
I don't think it's a problem to have multiple accounts if they are in different leagues and are only used to compete multiple times a day. The real problem with second accounts is when they are used to gain an advantage in competition.
There have been cases of people using a second team to help themeself to use DRS, or to obstruct others by overtaking them with a boost and setting the minimum boost level; these are obvious cases and the community quickly blocks them. 'Administrative' offences are much more difficult to detect and, above all, fight.
I hope you will find a fair solution!

Agree, otherwise your investing 100M and you’ll never gain a thing unless you get customers but those with farming accounts will always attract more as their stats will be better sooner.

Hi

Do you have to become a chassis supplier to view the tutorials? If so, can it be done as an open blog, would like to know how it all works before committing $100m. If i don't like it and don't want it, then that's €100m wasted.
Or a high level overview  blog of what it is all about would suffice, just enough to make a decision.

Will there be chassis data points available for purchase with tokens, as there is for engine points?

They could add the option to stop being an engine manufacturer.
