changing divisions ?

i would like to be able to switch to a lower division if possible as have not raced for a while and was last in the elite division.
i have seen some very good leagues with space in pro and rookie but elite is full so a way of choosing to go down a division as i accept the fact will have ballast be capped etc but would prefer that to joining a dead league plus it may help any league where they struggle to fill the pro division.
i understand switching up divisions would be dumb and has to be a deffo no go but was wondering if a possibility of moving down would be possible as may help leagues if teams say want to take a 1 season break (for holidays etc) but dont want to risk losing all sponsor money or losing thier place in the division of choice as if a stand in team joined for a season they could then use the option to drop to the lower division in order to stay in that league should they decide they wanna stay and at the same time it would let the returning team come back.

The only way to go down to a lower tier is to finish a current season in the relegation zone.

For leagues that have full elite tiers, I recommend messaging the league host or leaving a comment on league pages requesting to join if space can be made available by kicking inactive managers.
