Basics still need to be addressed.

There are still issues with this game that need sorting before updates come in to play..

I said this about 8 to 10 months ago and they have not been addressed..

I am writing this on behalf of the league I manage, so these are not just my issues, but the issues that members have told me about or I have seen for myself...


1. 2D connection issues.

Jool Hogg and Kay Wilms still have issues each and every single race with the 2D, they have used all 3 of the main browsers and have also been to the java site directly and updated manually... Others are still reporting this issue in the forums from other leagues...

2. Fuel issues.

I have started to get this issue within recent months and I had a driver run out of fuel in the pit lane, I've had times when I've had to change tyres and set them on full wets and as they entered the pits and stopped, the 2D menu changed to inters and put the wrong fuel amount in.

Many others have had the fuel issues as well and a lot of post have come up for iGP members.

3. Wet Weather.

Several issues on this one.

A/ Putting inters on when the track wetness is 1.0. Not everyone can be here and waiting 15 mins before lock down... So it should be a case of what ever the weather is doing, if their is an auto change, then change them to the correct tyres or just change it to full wets and no inters!!

B/ The weather should be locked down as well as the qually.. If you had an advanced system that detects the weather changes, then so be it, but you don't.. So you go to the testing and it's dry.. 10 mins later, it's wet, 10 mins later it's dry again... So what tyre should be put on? is it going to carry on raining? If the system was advanced.. then ok leave it as it is, but it's not... so as a manager, we need to sit and keep going from 1 page to another to see if things have changed...

C/ Wet lap times are a JOKE... As I run 3 times per week, I am never going to be up with the top 10 guys who run day in and day out.. and my lap times in the dry are around 1 1/2 seconds slower than the guys who have level 18 drivers... That is expected... So why the hell am I about 1/2 a second off them lap record when the track wetness is 1.0 ???  We have had several races in the past month where it is raining and each time, I have saved my KERS for the last few laps and each time I have been less than 1 second off the fastest lap... but only in the wet..

4/ Track tyre wear to actual wear... I have said this a few times.. Tracks like Monza, Monaco and quite a few others are miles off.. I put softs on Monza and to make them work, I am coming out of the pits with Taking it Easy... Once they hit the correct temps, even with backing off, they just keep heating and heating...



I could go on and on with the amount of bugs that this game has that has not been sorted yet and I see more updates coming and all I can think is that these new updates could have bugs as well and that means an ever increasing list of issues..

The other annoying thing is that I know of several people who quit the game and would come back once the issues have been sorted, but they have not..

Geoff Smalley asked me last night in Team Speak. "Are you still playing that? are the bugs fixed yet?" To which I replied "Nope, they are still there." So he said. "Shame as I would come back if they was sorted."



PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE fix the basic bugs before you pile more stuff on top of an already buggy game.

Alot of lag tonight as well. Causing a lot of issues in the game.

Thanks Rob.  I am working through these issues.

1. This is an on going issue, no program is perfect and most of the time it's client side.
2. Manager error, not game error.
3. Your job to suggest tire change, not the driver.
4. You are out of date on this one, and Monza has very high tire wear, in F1, the White and Silver tires are used here. Monaco is also accurate aswell.

No.. No 2 is NOT my fault at all... Not when I hit the pit button and see it swap right in from of my own eyes... I caught it once and the other time it happened was as they entered the pits, the tyres switched from full wets to inters... It only swapped for one of my drivers and the other one stayed on the full wets I asked for... So nope David.. Don't do your normal please...

You are talking rubbish on No 3 as well..


Also.. The No 1 point.. sure it is... So with so many having issues with the connection.. It's always the easy option to blame the client.. Same as BFBC2 when they made a patch and it stopped over 60% of PC Players from being able to play the game... Ohhh it's the client end.... 2 days later... They needed to re-patch the patch..

Agree 100% All those bugs happened to me and severall other in my league, too!
The only positive thing that came the last 12 months was the 5/5 pushlevel in qually. But lots of bugs. Especially since server change.
So please fix those bugs before doing useless anouncements and useless new features.
In psychology it is called confict avoidance, when someone allways does useless things, while the things that needs to be done are not done!

Monaco tonight.

Weather Rain @ 9.0 deg's C.

Fully pushing - Tyre deg 1.6 per lap. lapping around the 1.23' / 24's..

Inter runners are on average 11 laps down on the Free 2 Play side of the game..

and the tyres are 3 shades lighter than fully blue / stone cold freezing.....


These are really bad issues that needs to be addressed now.. It's nothing but Fully pushing with no tactics at all..

Oh and the fact that, if your conection drops and you had your button down on Kers when your internet connection or 2D goes down, the game decides that you haven't left and will use up all Kers. That ruined my second driver's race having his Kers wasted.

Not essentiall, but: Still changing start numbers from race to race...
