Sprint races have always offered quick, competitive racing without the commitment of a full season. In iGP Manager 26, we’ve focused the sprint experience around a simple goal: races that are easier to join, easier to schedule, and better matched to your skill.

10-Minute Queue System
The new sprint race system runs on fixed 10-minute intervals. Instead of waiting in ad-hoc lobbies, you join a queue and the game automatically creates races at regular times (e.g. 12:00, 12:10, 12:20):

  • Join the sprint queue from the Sprint Races screen

  • Get matched automatically using Level and Reputation XP

  • Races spawn every 10 minutes, with a countdown timer showing the next start

  • The 10-minute queue gives us time to match you with players of a similar skill level, as opposed to the current system which produced severe mismatches

  • Multiple "splits" or races can spawn if there are enough managers queued

Private Lobbies Still Available
The classic lobby system remains for private racing. If you want full control over start time, tracks and rules with friends or league-mates, you can still:

  • Create a private lobby

  • Invite who you like (or open it up)

  • Start when everyone is ready

Public sprints use the new queue for efficiency; private lobbies keep the flexibility you’re used to.

Rewards & Progression
Sprint races award:

  • Prize money based on results

  • Level XP for manager level progression

  • Reputation (RXP) for competitive ranking

  • This turns sprint races into a natural extension of your main team development rather than a separate mode.

There are also no hard daily caps on sprint race rewards—your progress scales with how much you race, while league races remain the primary source for parts generation. This makes them useful if you want to level up quickly.

Better Matchmaking
By combining skill-based matchmaking with a fixed 10-minute schedule, sprint races in iGP Manager 26 are more consistently competitive, thanks to level-based matching.

If you enjoyed the spontaneity of old sprints, you’ll still be able to jump in frequently, now with clearer expectations about when the next race starts and who you’ll be racing against.

Hi Jack,

I know this is slightly off topic on this post, but could live gap timing be built into the race screen, say under the speedometer reading on the avatar on 2d races & onto the steering on 3d races, i know we have the sectors split times on the timing screen, but live gap would help with decision to boost or not, i cant remember if DRS is being despensed with in IGP 26, but its often frustrating when split says 0.9 and you miss DRS.

To take it a bit further, gap to car behind and in front would be awsome.

Just a suggestion. Looking forward to seeing what IGP 2026 brings

Regards

Sean

I've wanted to do that for a long time and we still have DRS, actually. It's technically difficult for reasons that are hard to explain, but feel free to put it in the suggestions forum. I'd be interested to know how popular that idea is, because some don't think it's "skill-based" to have a visual timer. I still think it makes little diffrence, personally.

I don’t like the fact that sprint races now give RXP, makes the game p2w. Those who spend more token get more xp and get higher in the HoF.

Hi! Could you add the option to disable DRS in the league settings? And also, regarding ERS recharge in IGP Manager 26, perhaps you could add 2% or 4% recharge per turn.

Hate to be the one to point it out, but sprint races for me are broken. Don’t know if it is like that for anybody else?

They seem to be for me too. Firstly, I can't load the race at all on PC. It loads but I can't view the cars, just a stationary bit of the track with a white box in the middle of the screen. The race appears to run, I can pit and boost etc and see the times, just can't view either in 2D or 3D. I've tried on the mobile app and that works fine.

However, at the end of a sprint race, I get the notification telling me I beat my goal and won money, but there doesn't seem to be any wear on my car or engine and my driver's health remains at 100%. I haven't checked to see whether I get credited any of the money I win.

I had this issue briefly then it resolved itself, I think it might be due to cached data. Are you using the windows build?

This is the main issue I was having myself, but 2D seems to work fine.

I have an error now where all the cars still in the race have finished but it still says the race is still live, possibly counting the dnf'd cars

edit: now the error is gone

Yes. I tried restarting my PC but that didn't help.

I've also had this issue with both of the sprint races I've done. It did clear after a while, quicker the second time.

EDIT: I've just tried using the cache reset button and it didn't resolve it. I did manage to get the 2D view to work, but still no luck in 3D.

I will also add that the flow of traffic in Italy seemed really odd. The cars were all slowing down to almost a complete stop after each chicane. I wonder if maybe the track position isn't being mapped correctly to the 2D view or something. The cars would slow for the corner, go through it, speed up a bit then all slow to almost a complete stop before accelerating down the straight.

EDIT 2:

The Italy race was still showing as in progress so I clicked on it and it took me back in. The race was on lap 7 so it looks like it was being rerun for some reason. I didn't join any additional races so it can only have spawned from the original one.

Just tried a new sprint race in Canada, regardless of camera choice, all I got was water of the coast of Canada (Android Google Pixel 7 Pro)... No cars, nothing.

Were there any on the timing panel?

Hi Jack,

17 cars in the race. The race ran in full. Just couldn't actually visually see a single thing other than pretty waves.

Cheers,

Yesterday I had a bug in a custom lobby sprint race. We were in Austria and I pitted on Lap 8 of 9. After the pit stop my car was stuck at the start/finish line. It was at around midnight UTC+2.
Edit: not on this account
