I don't expect so much from EA to be honest, visuals may be superior, but when it comes to tuning your tatic it ill probably fail bigtime. Just compare the EA Footballmanager with the one from Sigagames. The EA one is ridicolous in comparison, too easy and superficial for real football tactic geeks ;)
I don't expect it to be different with racing. it's EA ;)
Codemasters usually do an awesome job so I've got no idea what Alexis is trolling about. Looking forward to it. Hate to say it but I've grown very peed of with iGP recently (poor development / lack of critical updates) so will most certainly give it a try!
Well if you have no idea what i'm talking about you're better off with the CM game anyway. IGP is 3 Months out, for something wich is here to stay not so much time. CM usually support their games until they get reviewed and maybe rereviewed and then drop it like a hot potatoe because they are already busy with their next title. They even don't reply in forums.It's a company wich designs mainstream titles designed to be replaced quickly, just business.
For somebody who races casually with gamepad, doesn't own a console, their titles are great. Until they get a wheel, find out about other PC titles wich don't get rated 90% in PC gaming magazines or do not show there at all, then that view about CM may change ;)

There's no need to shy from discussing it here, I'm as interested as you are to see what they come up with. :)
As for any comparison between us and Codemasters... We're a million miles apart, it's really David versus Goliath. I'm sure the Codies programmers are on fair salaries and have a substantial budget, neither of which are luxuries afforded to us. Despite this, I'm quietly confident. Our circumstances are improving, and the really hard work is out of the way (we've launched). Keep an eye on our twitter/facebook feeds over the next couple of months, there's some exciting stuff in the pipeline.
I quote part of a conversation between myself and the developers that explicitly tells the gameplay of F1 Online.
Q: David Lyons
Content Question on the game's Management Mode:
Hi there, I have signed up to the beta, and not recieved an invite yet, so since I can't find out for myself, I would like to ask if;
The Management Features be Team Boss only, and not driver and would this be online? If not, I would not be interested in this game and continue to play other Online f1-style management games.
In F1 Online you are both the team boss and driver of the car. At this time you have to perform both roles though we are considering ways in which players may be able to perform one role or the other in the future.

It looks like it's essentially a driving game where you build your team/car up off track. I was also surprised that they aren't developing a mobile version, it's PC/Mac only at this stage.
Just an update on this, i just received an e-mail saying that the start of the beta testing is coming. Starting today they will be sending out the first wave of invites... Anybody got 1?
Nothing yet, I hope they consider making a dedicated online manager mode, it will be very popular.
Well I've applied on three times,(Twice using the same email by also signing up through my Codemaster's account) and the other on my secondary email. :)
just so you all no there was a beta session yesterday. there doing one on monday from wot i hear but dont quote me on that so they might send more invtes out to test the server out with more people on it. form wot ma mates told me its kl as Feck
