My ideas for the next update are these:
-Add the safety car and add the function of having accidents because only suspension issues is a bit boring.
- update the circuits for example Baku, russia, mexico ...
-update the car publisher.
- Inactive pilots and managers.
- at the time of the classification or in the race the options of touch up the car in the middle of race update them and add the can change the aileron or touch up the telemetry, ...
With this I intend to help make iGP Manager a great game as it already is.

Hi Oriol,

I really dont think accidents are a good idea, reason being that we dont do this as a profession, we do this as a game. If I was to play for nearly 2hrs in a 100% race and then my car crashed at the end I would just stop playing, thats not fun.

Updated circuits and car livery designer are already planned as far as I know. Although there hasnt been much talk of new tracks from Jack for a while now, the livery designer has been mentioned.

There is an update due soon to deal with inactive managers.

I do like the option for being able to update car setup mid-race! It gives the people who take the time to live manage more control, specially when it rains etc.

well the option of accidents I discard it but at least put not only suspension problems that is boring, for example punctures, motor failure to the Fernando Alonso xdxd you understand me?

Hi Oriol,

I still say the same applies. The suspension problems only effect inactive managers and take many races to appear.

Any "unexpected failures" will unfortunately have the same effect as accidents imo. It would very much take away from the fun of the game to make it to lap 50 of some race and your engine goes, or you get an unexplained puncture etc.

I put this scenario to you. You have been racing hard all season, its down to the last race and your up for promotion to Pro or Elite or heading for your first Elite title or your just about to survive your first season in Elite etc... you are 2 laps from achieving your goal and you get a puncture, putting you out of the points and you lose it all... You now have to complete another season in a tier your have tried so hard to get out of or whatever applies. You really wont find that kind of playing fun imo. When seasons take a minimum of 17 days etc I think this would be too much for many people to take!

But thats just me.

Not sure if there's any racing manager game out there that has drivers adjusting settings in-car such as brake bias or roll bars too, but that'll definitely make the game less casual.

Sorry Oriol, I am not intentionally trying to knock idea's etc, but if your going to propose an idea you should be prepared for someone to give a reason why they think it doesnt make the game better. Its nothing personal.

Sorry, Oriol suggested "change the aileron", which I assume means changing wing setup. I would like the option to tweek the wings, specially when moving from wet to dry or dry to wet.

Yah, they make adjustments to the wing in pitstops every race in Indycar. :p Change tyre pressures too sometimes.

Unexpected failures could be simple things and not race ending failures?

DRS stop working for a number of laps or get stuck open forcing a pitstop to fix it.
Boost to stop working for a number of laps
Wheel-gun failure in pitstop, trouble getting a wheel on/off
Fuel rig failure in pitstop, get more/less fuel than wanted
Gear-box issues, loss of a gear
Brakes overheating
Engine overheating
Tyre puncture

Finishing outside the points is maybe race ending for some :P

Well, there could be a random number of races, i think two, three or four in a season is good enough, where there would be mechanical failures or accidents resolting to abandon the race. That would be the same for every manager in the legue despite the level, experience, cars contition etc.

Finishing outside the points because of something beyond the control of the manager is maybe game ending for some. Which is why I very much doubt the developers will ever introduce random failures.

Ugh, seems like every time someone brings up adding crashes and failures into the game, someone always shoots it down as promoting randomness. Personally, I hate that. While implementing these things may be impossible to do without at least SOME degree of randomness, just to simply dismiss the idea of it as promoting randomness is a really bad way to look at it. It can be done, but it has to be influenced by car and driver ratings. Right now, the cooling and reliability ratings on cars and the mental attributes for drivers seem to only be there just for show. If they were to have an influence on race retirements, it would actually put those rating to use and make users think twice about overlooking them.

Of course, there would be other influences beyond that of the car and driver, such as the track and the weather. You'd be far more likely to crash at a track like Monaco due to simply how tight the track is. Wet weather conditions lead to more retirements as well, due to the reduced grip on the track leading to a reduced margin of error.

Lack of cooling development in hot conditions could accelerate engine wear which would make the cars slower as the race progresses in much the same way as a driver who is low on stamina affects performance towards the end of a race.
Low reliability could/should directly affect how many parts are required to repair the cars after the race.
I still don't much like the idea of cars being prone to breaking down, crashing or random safety cars being introduced in the middle of the race. I enjoy my one race a day with a single account and having spent time trying to come up with an optimum strategy, calculated my fuel loads, placed my DP where I think best for the next race I would be very annoyed if a couple of laps from the end one of my drivers engine exploded.
To be honest when I first started the playing this game I too thought random failures would be a good idea as it might have allowed me to bag a couple of points now and then. I've since changed my mind, changeable weather and not knowing what quantity of water is on the track before qualifying is enough randomness for me.

Trying not to turn this into a general discussion.
The amount of parts used to repair cars is based on the Design building level. That is a good thing, it frees up reliability to work like the health of car.
3 health bars in the race.
Stamina - Driver Health
Cooling - Engine Health
Reliability - Car Health

In the league itself there should be an option, turn on the damage or turn it off

Little off topic but i think mixing up the drivers with some super ability or talent will be nice, honestly nowadays its too easy once you find a young 20 Talent driver and train till the driver reach 19-20 level and than nothing more to do as far as looking for new drivers, we only know that drivers have some hidden talents but its very much ineffective i feel, would love to see drivers with special talent, Like Quick off the line (not good in Defending) , High Speed track bully (struggles in slow speed corner), Fuel Saver ( Tire Muncher),

I for one would be all for something like a "simulation" difficulty. Lock ups, spins, reliability problems, engines on fire, accidents, along with everything else that affects races like traffic, weather, backmarkers, qualifying position, are all part of racing. And they all can come due to factors like driver attributes, car attributes, push levels, and so on. Then again, we all have to play by the rules of the game and it's up to the devs to decide.

At the moment the strategy and tactics of this game is like a chessboard as someone mentioned months ago iirc. You master the game when you know all the pieces and their moves, leaving no room for unpredictability, but some don't see racing as chess.
