I agree with Dave, the W2W was a massive change by itself. Managers weren’t given enough warning/notice about the league changes. Several things were also released which the community weren’t even told about (HQ changes for example).
If this had been done in a phased way and communicated better the community would not be so frustrated.
Overall I am looking forward to W2W and I understand the league changes and they may be good for the game in the long term. However the extreme driver atrophy and HQ degradation is sucking the fun out of it for me. I’m training my drivers every day and will not break even.
I mentioned this in another thread that I'm open to reducing the atrophy rate. I don't know if 5% is the number, or if anything needs multipliers in single car leagues to even it out, but I'm open to your feedback.
Regarding communication, I do accept your points, they are valid. Communication "around" the update has been better (post-update, answering questions, and if people saw the forum threads, they were in-depth about some of the changes), but many aspects of the update were not properly communicated. The good news is, we won't be doing any updates this comprehensive again, the plan from here is to settle into the new platform, balancing and refining it, and start expanding out features more slowly. It will be easier for me to communicate what is going on without overwhelming everyone going forward.
My immediate concern is stabilising the service and ensuring races all run smoothly, we hit several bottlenecks yesterday that are not fully resolved today. I suspect my whole day will be spent getting the back-end into shape. Going into the new year, I can shift my focus more to front-end experience.
