car updates

might have been covered before but i have a component that can be updated either the 29th april (today) or the 31st april, not the 30th. however the deadline for any components has already passed for the 29th so do i really have to wait 2 days?

If it says todays date it "should" automatically change to 2morrows date after midnight, or it has from experience anyway

hi im still new here 3 races old so to replace car parts i tick the box and click save.

what i cant see is when do them parts go onto the car is it before or after the practise runs. And also would the new parts affect the car set up.

The parts are fitted to the car at the close of the practice window, which is 10 minutes before the race start, before qualifying begins. Part condition does not affect the car setup.

ok so if i have an engine part 1A and i replace with 1D (which will take effect after Quailis)  what engine would i be doing the practise runs with.

Engines actually don't have part numbers. Engines are part number E all the time.

Practice runs also (as far as I know) don't wear the engines at all, so it doesn't matter which engine you're using.

The order goes:

1. Practice
   
2. Part refitting
   
3. Qualifying
   
4. Race

Practice & qualifying do not wear any of the parts or the engine

ok thanks but i was using the engine as an example. so my qustion again is the same but with any other part apart from the engine.
