[Xmas/BD/New Year] - Races postponed or not?

Greetings Managers, there has been some talk about many people not wanting to race on these days specifically due to family commitments and it being a general holiday, some are interested in racing, but your general thoughts on this matter would be appreciated. It should be kept in discussion between the League Manager and his/her participating managers.
I've spoken to Andrew and there is an open interest in anyone wanting to postpone their races, but this would be done individually to each league that wish the dates off.

Some of you want to race, some of you have family dinners or parties to attend to, and we'd like to be able to accommodate leagues who want the day or days off for these events should they be out-with your league's break period. Ideally if sufficient leagues want to postpone their races, the developers should be able to provide that for you.
It would be recommended however that you setup a poll on your League pages so your Participating Managers can vote.

I suppose it's hard to suit everyone if you take these days off though (EG me in New Zealand opposed to someone in USA who is 18 hours behind) .. Xmas day is virtually a day earlier here, so unless we get two days off we're screwed XD

EDIT: Actually, nevermind. My leagues season finishes on the 24th any way so if the guys want a break I will just change the season break to maximum (7 days) for a temporary time. So my league can be done internally atleast.

Eton, you do make some very valit points though. I had teh same thought as you and i live in Western Australia, my concern was having Xmas & Boxing day which are both public hols here. Plus i wont be home to run or manage the league or race (ill be in KL, thank good ness for  advanced setups lol)

Pesonally i think postpone is best solution for those still running leagues on those days. Some how..............................(not sure how it can be done, but need sorting asap.

Wouldnt a league vote do? Then ask the devs to change the dates.

So far for the poll with the Formula GP league we'd all be in favor of having no races those 3 holidays.

Should any requests for this be directed to Andrew or Jack? We have to wait until the next season starts on the 21st before we can ask for this.

It'll be a good idea to mail them before the Xmas race to postpone it.

An extension to this limited time request...would it be something to allow each racer the option to not participate in a race? For example, if I'm going on vacation and don't want to have my team race and break their cars, atrophy stats, use up days on their contracts, etc.. I'd love to be able to say for my own team, independant of league delays that I'd like to not race for the next 4 days or 7 days or whatever amount of time. I shouldn't have to leave a league to freeze my team in time which is the only option I see right now.

This is easily accomplished by withdrawing temporarily from the league, but I don't see an actual feature for holidays etc as in many cases people don't return, which this can be used to abuse the system.

Is this actually going to be possible? I've confirmed with my league that we definitely want a break, I'm just finalising whether they want the entire holiday period off (24th -> 2nd) or just the actual holiday days off with racing inbetween.

None the less we will want some days off atleast. So back to my original question yeah, is the going to be possible or was it just an idea?

i think you should always take a vote if you want holiday days off for racing, because if you think how many holidays there is with different countries and religions

Can I post it in a few days after this current season finishes and the next season schedule gets set?  Would be Monday evening.

Our League iGP Super Series want to postpone. Means, theyre should be no racing at the 3 holidays 24., 25., & 26.

I think you have to wait for our next season to start before you can do this, but can we please have the 25th and the 31st/1st off when it does.
