League Question

Hi all.

Im fairly new and only raced in my first race last night.
I was looking forward to this race all week as it said it was full 32/32 in the rookie teir, however when the race started there was only 4 or 5 racers... how is this when the league states that its full with 32/32 racers?

If i would of know there was only 4 or 5 racers i would of left and joined another leauge, however now if i do that i will be deducted money and all sorts.

Yes, this seems to be an ongoing problem with inactive managers blocking leagues.  The league host should be booting people who have been inactive for a couple of months at least.. I see some players haven't been active for over 200 days!!

I think there needs to be a definate 'rule' about this.  People join, then leave the game never to return, but their name is still there causing problems.  I don't blame the people that have left (that is their choice) but there needs to be some set way to deal with the issue.

I do feel sorry for new managers like you Daniel who have such high hopes of good racing only to he disappointed like this.  The following suggestion is no real help to you at the moment but I would suggest that before anyone joins a league they look at the stats of each manager involved and see when they were last active.  Its a bit of a pain, I know, but might help you avoid the above situation in the short term.  :(

I think il use this season as a tester and then look at my options at the end of season.

In the meanwhile i shall try contact the host to see if he can boot some people so others can join

Well this is even more of a disappointment as the host of the league is 290+ days inactive so it doesnt look good at all.

Just another quick question.

At the end of the season will it still charge you etc when you leave?

I think aswell is to pick up leagues that have people actively posting on the forum.  If there are managers posting there is a good likelyhood they have found full active leagues to race in.  

:Hint: My league is looking for rookie racers :)

End of season no you do not have to pay the penalty fee.

Shouldn't charge you at the end,only during the season.
It can be hard to find active leagues, check their chat box on the league page beforehand.
I think Speed Series are looking for some players, that used to be an amazing league!

also ine ither question if i was to reset and start fresh is there any downsides to that?

If you have really just started then I don't see any down-side.
Staying in an inactive league is probably more damaging but I wouldn't reset on just my say so - what do others think?

He's already done, one race isn't going to mean much :)  think he's already set up in his new home and putting the pictures on the wall!

Yes that would be a great idea, as now its just a waste of a league with nothing happening. Plus new guys like me fell into a trap thinking it was a very active league
