Hi, so I welcomed the news yesterday with the new pit stops based upon fuelling loads, I think it's a good idea, but yesterday the developer mentioned that a car with fuel left in the tank will take less time to fill than a car with no fuel left coming into the pits. I assumed by this that remaining fuel is included in the next refill. I had a race in Canada yesterday where I done 3 middle stints with 16 laps each and put in 34 litres for each stint. The race data told me I had .8 litres remaining at the end of each stint. Doesn't this indicate that remaining fuel is not included in the refill? If so, because I put 34 litres in for the second stint (which was again .8 too much) wouldn't I have had 1.6 litres at the end of my second stint and likewise 2.4 litres at the end of my third (after again putting 34 litres in ~ .8 too much again) but in this case after each stint I was left with only .8 litres. Tnx for any info on this.

Hi Paulo,
My understanding is that you should leave the pits with the quantity of fuel asked for your stint.
In your case, if you asked 34 liters and you still had 0.8 in your tank, your pit crew had to add 33.2 liters.
Start : 34 liters
1st stop : you still have 0.8 so only 33.2 are added => you leave the pit with 34 liters
2nd stop : again, you have 0.8 remaining so 33.2 are added => you leave the pit with 34 liters
Etc.
Does it make sense ?

Hi M. Truche, yeah this does make sense, it was something I considered but glad you could confirm it for me, tnx ? So would I be right in saying I couldn't take advantage of the .8 surplus, because if I asked for 33 I would only get 32.2 which wouldn't be enough, as I need 33.2. So in this scenario I would always have to ask for a heavier load, being 34? Only advantage being slightly lower pit time?

Yes, you are right.
Your pit stop is slightly quicker, but you don’t have other advantage.
