Car R&D based on next circuits

Hi all, 

In the 'Next race' window, you get an estimated car compatibility, so I would guess that if you plan ahead and design your car according to the next circuits, this would offer a great advantage. 
 - Is this the case? 
 - If so, how do you do it? 
 - What aspects are important for what circuit? 
 - And how do you plan ahead? 
 - Do you change supplier (engine, tyres, fuel) based on the track as well? 

Of course, acceleration is essential on all circuits. Handling seems more important than braking at Monaco. Downforce is probably more important than usual at Spa Francorchamps, France or Japan. 

I would love to have some additional insights.

It's very difficult question to give you definite answers to, because I'm sure there are multiple ways of going about it. However, from my experience of the game i can say that personally, I always use Murk, elves and bridgerock. Occasionally I use good week instead of bridgerock at the start of a season if I have considerably more on braking than handling for the first race. 
Personally, I find downforce to be of much less importance than handling and braking. Even at a track like suzuka, handling is more important. At monza, or Abu Dhabi, braking is very important because there are many big stops, but at spa, it's less so.

God week for me, balance Braking and Handling by putting in Elves as well +5 each, can’t go wrong
