Today, when casually scrolling through the teams and driver's page in Rookie in WRS, I came across a team named "Child abuse Racing" and a manager called "Child Abuser". This should not be allowed in WRS or iGP as the act of abusing children could get you jailed. Here is the link of the manager: https://igpmanager.com/app/d=profile&team=2374368&tab=overview

I hope you take action, if any of you from iGP is reading this. Thanks.

José its much bigger then this post, there should be an algorithme searching for it. I mean, if you search for “adolf hittler” the number of drivers or managers you find, its appalling.

Urgent action required if you ask me.

I even cant post the name on forum, i added a t in the name (i’m not allowed to post vulgarities it says) then why can people use it in game

Hello Slo,

Most of the accounts are inactive since years ago. It isn’t that urgent.

With all due respect José, thats not very helpfull mate. Most means not all are. So igp is continuing to accept abusive or offensive names.

If a manager in my league would feel offended, i’m sure you would put a message on our board saying you’re disappointed in the league and/or host.

Well this time around another manager feels offended and i’m putting the message here, saying i’m disappointed in your reply, my friend

Hey!

I didn’t said that exactly... it’s easy to misunderstand things sometimes. At the moment we’re manually changing all the names that are offensive but firstly we need to receive a report from players. If we had more manpower we would be happy to create an algorithm that suspends those names and edit them automatically. Things aren’t easy when you don’t have resources...

I think this is something igp will have to do at some point. Its something of a growing pain a game has to go through.

if you’re looking for the big update to make the game boom (in terms of number of managers), this will have to be adressed soon imo. If not, it will be shoved in your face at same point (excuse me for the language).

In my opinion, having such an algorithm, even if it would only prevent the most offensive names, would show maturity for an online racing game.

Hello Slo,

Since I appreciate a lot each of the messages you write I’m going to fully explain you why an algorithm or a filter isn’t a solution at all. Let me explain you why with an example: Imagine I want to call my team Hitler Racing. If the filter doesn’t allow me to save it as Hitler I’ll edit it and write H1tl3r. Filters are easy to bypass.

This would make life harder to players that think they’re being funny doing this inappropriate actions, but what we need to introduce in the game is a strong reporting system. For everything that can be modified in the game. Manager name, team name, driver’s name..., league’s name, league description, private messages, avatars, league wall messages, forum post... I would need to multiply the number of moderators we’ve currently helping us (thank you mods!) but I’m sure this would make the game a safe and a more enjoyable place.

I hope we get the resources for this as soon as possible and we can make this a real tool for players and moderators.
