Battery limits per lap

I found that many managers would save up the battery charges and release all the charges until the very last lap. I find this quite annoying and makes the race less exited. The time gap and the compounds differences are erased by the high amount of battery release. Is it possible to limit the charges released within each lap. For example, 20% is the limit of each lap and maybe get a little bit recharge during push level 1&2? I think limitations on battery release could make the end of a race less dependent on battery level:)

The amount of the ERS at the last lap depends on how much have you used before, during the race sometimes that's the most exciting thing, how much can you save for the last lap...

I don’t see how dumping all of the boost on one lap would be better than using bit by bit for a few laps, except for taking the fastest lap point.

But I feel like if the devs can implement a rechargable battery in some form, it can bring in a new perspective to the game. It would also mean that one needs to play around with the push levels during race in an optimised manner and would benefit managers who attend races which is good.

It would lead to the repetitive task of having to boost every single lap because you don’t want to lose the recharge. And it will create an even bigger last lap boost war

Congratulations on raising the issue, it is bad that you have a good race pace, a good team, good drivers and the race end up being decided by teams that conserve batteries, but congratulations to them for having a good battery management. Well I would like to test in the league a season without the use of the battery and that won those with better management of teams, hits and strategy.

Using full battery on last lap is not optimal. 

Optimal is having your two drivers DRS boost each other each lap without towing other teams and using boost to manage the slower driver of the two (who has lower tyre% due to stopping first) and the other to boost them back together so they can both offer the DRS tow again after pitting.

Bahrain in season 28, I finished 20secs ahead teams who all had race winners throughout the season, this is because I use my boost properly throughout the race to get into free air. In free air, I was substantially faster.

In Malaysia 28 (late season), I used one driver to tow the other driver (who was fighting fighting for the Drivers Championship) every DRS straight for about 20 laps. Strat worked perfectly, the 2nd driver didn't get 2nd but the Championship leader extended his lead with a dominant victory.

it's all about learning the track and when to boost and with those around you. If you know your car is faster than they are, then get out of traffic. I forced my league out of hoarding boost until the final lap as they stopped winning with that strategy.

Generally it's about breaking the cycle of those dumping full boost on the last lap. It'll stop when you force them to boost mid race more often.

Season 25 (I think) driver, boosted most of his battery int he first 1-2 stints and won the Championship, ending at 5-championship streak.

You need to fix train races in 1 car leagues. Its just not exiting driving in a train and waiting for the last lap. You cannot run away because train is catching you in about 3 laps.
