strategy suggestion by drivers

Is it possible change (or take off) the strategy suggested by drivers?
 because they are still the suggestions before the tyre update (of same years ago) and now they are always wrong suggestions.
 of course this suggestion is helpful only for new player....

Actually, its a realistic feature as it’s the drivers engineer that suggests it and engineers are known for their stubbornness ?

Does that mean if the click the “ideal set up” that that is wrong too ? 

No, ideal set up is always right and automatically adjusts before the race to accommodate changing weather conditions. The problem being complained about is the driver suggestions, which aren't exactly accurate.
