Chassis Supplier - Update 3

A new hybrid approach to chassis data has been introduced for the Chassis Supplier system in response to your feedback. Several managers reported concerns about farming and difficulty finding customers. This change is intended to address these concerns.

Each Supply Hub will generate +2 Chassis Data, with each customer adding +1 Chassis Data. The total remains capped at 10 per race.
This means even a team with no customers can generate 2-6 Chassis Data per race via their Supply Hubs. Teams with 8+ customers and 1 Supply Hub will also generate 10 Chassis Data per race, so teams who worked to get 10 customers already will not be disadvantaged. There are many ways to balance it now, e.g. 3 supply hubs and 4 customers also works. This allows teams who can't find customers to catch up over time. This also creates an opportunity to spread costs over time with customers or to accelerate it with hubs.

"Freeze" Chassis Supplier to cease trading chassis
Teams can now cease supplying chassis. This will end all customer contracts immediately and leave the feature in a state where you can re-activate it at any time for free. This is accessed under the "..." menu.

Yessss good job 👌🏻, so in summary words, you managed to generate points without the need clients and the maximum for all races will be 10 data points even if you have 10 clients and 1 design center you will still get 10 points instead of 12

The changes here seem like a good middle ground, but then that leaves the question of whether suppliers ever get paid anything from the customers. The chassis menu button says "Profit/Loss" next to the currency amount.

After all the effort to secure customers, the most rational move now is to drop almost all of them like garbage and generate nearly the same results at a fraction of the cost.

Three days of hard work and clever marketing made irrelevant overnight.
I´m tired, frustrated.

For that reason, I’m stepping away from the game for good.

1. Why can I still apply to be a customer as a supplier? Is it a bug, or something that's intended.
2. Are suppliers customers of their own chassis?

If you could answer these quickly, then that would clear up a few things.

iGP has been more than just a game. It has been a community, a place where online friendships were built, where competition pushed us to be better, and where every season created memories that will last far beyond the final lap.

Each of you helped make this experience special. Whether we raced wheel-to-wheel, shared advice, argued over whatever, or simply enjoyed the journey together, those moments mattered. They are the reason this community feels alive and meaningful.

As paths change and chapters close, I hope we all carry the best of iGP with us. The camaraderie, the respect, and the passion for the game.

All games have updates, they nerf or improve things over time to make it fair, feasible or functional.

NO ONE should state that they are leaving while being disgruntled about something that they took advantage of while it was broken, or needing enhancing, right off the bat. You're a LVL 35 and you just realize how this game and it's updates work like right now?

If you feel that badly about it, just leave. Don't state you are leaving, just go.

Otherwise, state your case on what has happened with you and maybe Jack would give you some compensation.

He's not going to see this. He's actually gone. Left the league he was in over something so insignificant like this, acting like Jack can't make further changes as he finds a system everyone finds both fair and competitive.

I will say Jack has been extremely responsive to everyone and his main priority has been to make this update the best it can be. I may still have a question about the long term financial viability for suppliers, but I understand that getting the system into a happy medium and fixing any bugs that come up take immediate priority over something that won't have significant affects on anyone until another 3 months pass at least.

EDIT: Jack, it appears that I only received 9 chassis data points even though I have 8 customers. I couldn't post a reply, so I hope you see this.

I have a question then.

At the moment I have 3 supply hubs and 9 customers. This is a total of 2+2+2+9=15 chasis points. But with the cap it is 10. I would get the same amount with the 3 supply centers and 4 customers (6+4), so... I have a surplus of 5 customers that are basically costing me around 1.5M total per race with no benefit for me? Should I just sack them?

I would suggest implementing some extra perks for having all customers, since it is capped at 10 chasis points.

For now, I am sacking them.

I added to be a chassis supplier before I realised the ridiculous set up that made it impossible to do it without setting up fake accounts.
I have paused the supply and have become a customer. How can I confirm within the game that I am a customer of someone else as it doesn’t show it anywhere.

PLUS, to the developers of this game, please change it so that if you’re in a league with one team that you can develop the chassis without needing to set up fake accounts!

Very interesting. So in other words, you guys can't even find the page for your chassis supplier? That would explain a lot about why almost nobody from my customers has chosen parts.

I spent 100k to become a chassis supplier, yesterday I froze the chassis supplies. Now, to go back to being a chassis supplier, the game wants me to spend another 100k.It doesn't make me reactivate the chassis supply.

I also deactivated the chassis, now it asks me for 100mil to open it.

I did not receive a refund for deactivating it.

I could be wrong about this, but there's no indication that deactivating it would refund your money, especially because Jack's post said you could reactivate it for free afterwards.

EDIT: Hi Jack. I believe my chassis did not apply the upgrade for mechanical parts correctly. I have both my aero and mechanical upgraded to level 1/4, but I only +1 applied to Front Wing and Rear Wing.

Yes - it looks like on my screens I am still doing my own chassis. Looking at my supplier I do see they were supplying me, so I guess they are. But nothing on my page suggests that.

And when you say choose parts. What is this?

The developers of this game have really dropped the ball here. Probably the most chaotic and incompetent release possible!
