A chassis manufacturer uses the own chassis, given the manager has 2 parts selected, just like customers.
A chassis supplier can't be customer of another team, if this is possible it's due to a bug.
The point is supplying your customers and own team with a chassis giving bonus DP, and a research bonus for the own team.
1. I somewhat agree, the extend depending on 3, because with (partial) reset chassis points remain of value. Without customers need to provide something more, like some profit, as incentive to keep once the chassis is done. Or giving the choice data or money.
2. If the team is not bugged (also external chassis) that's already the case.
3. I agree, however a system changing things a little bit every season, so it's not just redoing the same every season, would be nice.

I must have a bug, the day the chassis went live I became a manufacturer but also a client. And I am receiving the latter chassis, mine is better now, yet I cannot terminate my client contract...
