We have returned from a long break from the forum and boy have we had some fantastic seasons while we've been away.
Here is just a run down of our Season Winners over all of the seasons:

As you can tell we have had a very interesting set of seasons, but now it is time we found some new blood to join our ranks. Could this be you?

We are mostly looking for Rookie players, but we still have a couple of spots in Pro too.

Next season we will be introducing a 2 Tire Compound Rule, Each Manager will need to use at least 2 different Tire Compounds during each race. We are discussing details this season in the hope of beginning the new rule for season 18.

Hello and Welcome to the Australian GP Race Review. Today was an absolute cracker of an opening race for the 17th Season. Let us give you are run down of the Race; we start with the Rookie Division first.

Practice was an unusual one, only 4 of the 6 teams decided to test the track before qualifying with Speed of Dreams, directed by Wong Hoong Liang topped the times with at successful 1:26.132 and 1:26.161. Behind them FAFF Racing and Team Lotus John Player Edition F1 gave it there all to come out of practice ahead of the Dreams team, unfortunately it was not to be, but it was a very close call of who got the 3rd spot just 0.001 in it but FAFF took the 3rd.

However Qualifying saw an entirely different story, stars of Practice Speed of Dreams could only manage 4th and 7th, FAFF could only equal their qualifying position with 3rd and 5th, Team Lotus managed to better their practice with 2nd and 8th, but the pole sitter was Alexander Hunt of Malta Cavaliers Racing, who gained Pole and 6th, a tremendous effort from the team having been almost no where in practice being in 7th and 8th there. These results left Blank Bentley and Superstarracing123 sharing rows 5 and 6.

The race was nothing short of intense starting on the wrong tires left Superstarracing123 and Black Bentley battling it out at the back of the grid with Black Bentley being flanked by SSR123 who finish 9th and 12th, BB finishing 10th and 11th. however ahead of them were the surprise of Speed of Dreams eventually ending up a lap down, their speed was nothing short of electric while their tires were in the optimal range but in their attempt to regain position they overheated their tires causing them to drop back further, which made FAFF's 1-2 victory look like a breeze; but for them it wasn't, Malta Cavaliers stayed with them for most of race but towards the end they could only manage to stay 13 seconds behind their second driver but still managed 3rd and 4th. Team Lotus kept mostly to themselves having their own in-house battle finishing 5th and 6th but with only 0.383 seconds between them. The fastest lap goes to Jack Button with a 1:24.122.

The Pro Division saw a whole new era of speed. Qualifying saw only 3 drivers using the Super Soft Tires, both REV Motorsports drivers dominated Qualifying by taking the front row of the grid. The only other driver to use Super Soft's was Alberto Ascari, however even though he was using the Super's, could only manage 5th on the grid, the second row getting locked out by the Torpedos who used the Soft Tires, making them the instant favorites with the fans. Another team to continue a great finishing run from last season was Racing Club FCSB who stuck their cars into 6th and 9th on the grid surrounded by Tintex and Schwinesteiger who take the top ten positions.

During the race Torpedos showed the Fans just why they should be cheering for them by not only taking and maintaining the lead positions, but extending their gap to 3rd by almost 20 seconds. Schwinesteiger was the next best finishing team with 3rd and 5th with Tintex in 4th, their second car 6th. These two teams where almost neck and neck for most of the race before both teams became two separate battles, Ramirez for Schwinesteiger and Mansell for Tintex fought hard for 3rd and 4th where as Harris and Baccini were almost caught by the pack lead by the Fasuballes siblings Eduardo Jimenez and his sister Carlota Jimenez who took 7th and 8th respectively. Behind these top 8 there was a whole bunch of teams fighting hard for those last two points scoring positions; REV Motorsports, Racing Club FCSB, Lycans and the first of the Nissan Nismo Qantas F1 drivers, all great teams and drivers looking to snatch those last few points, but it was REV Motorsport and Racing Club FCSB who took the positions gaining a massive boost for their teams. Nissan Nismo took 11th, REV 12th, Lycans found 13th and 15th with the second FCSB driver in 14th. 2 seconds behind this group were Monarch Motors in 16th and 17th with the second Nissan Nismo in 18th, Eagle Motorsport round off the top 20. Rounding off the final 8 positions were Elan Racing for 21st and 22nd, RJ Racing for 23rd and 24th, Insane Asylum for 25th and 26th and finally Team Speed not living up to their name in 27th and 28th. Fastest Lap: Kevin Cabral with a 1:19.487.

Finally we come to the Elite Race which from the offset was grueling. Skyeladder found Pole and 3rd, Bradshaw 2nd and 16th, McKenzie 4th and 22nd, Handy Racing 5th and 20th, 295 6th and 14th, DannyRic 7th and 28th, BMR 8th and 19th, NZL 9th and 29th, Zakennayo 10th and 25th, Team Scouse 11th and 12th, Barca found 13th and 15th, Didikong 17th and 16th, Carroll GP 18th and 23rd, Bear Racing 21st and 30th, MCR 24th and 27th, and Poland 31st and 32nd. Just the qualifying results alone, even just sounding out the positions thus just went to show how split the drivers were, many teams going for split strategies on both drivers.

With the differing strategies both with Pits and Tires the entire field kept themselves in close quarters for the first few laps before things opened up, those on Super Soft's charged ahead while those on Soft's took the more conservative option, and some taking a back seat entirely. However only Poland were the team who were lapped at the end of the race, the rest of the field remained on the lead lap which goes to show how close this Division is. Out of the block Team Scouse took the 1-2 finish, but it was not an easy run for them, they battles hard with the teams of Skyeladder, Barca, Bradshaw and 295, of which all 5 of these teams took the top 10 by storm, it put a great tone to the start of the season showing the top 5 teams to beat. Below the top ten were the teams of Carroll and McKenzie battling half the NZL and DannyRic teams for the next 6 positions, the second half of NZL and DannyRic found the back of both MCR car taking up the track in front of them.

BMR, Handy and Zakennayo where in a hard battle of their own for 21st to 26th positions, all three of these teams were unexpectedly behind their targets, but still they gave it their all to get the best results they could, and with BMR starting with two completely green drivers they did well to head and foot this small group. Bear and Didikong take the 27th to 30th positions. Fastest Lap: John Edwards with a 1:19.412.

After the race news came to us that MCR's driver refused to use their boost at all for the entire race and it has been revealed that their manager Mike Carter is purposefully holding back his team; the reasoning we have yet to discover.

Now it is time for Malaysia.

Malaysia was a great race, because it started with a disaster, Right after Qualifying the heavens opened up and the track got wetter and wetter as the cars sat on the grid waiting for the start. It made for an interesting race.

Rookie found Pole taken by Malta's Hunt taking Pole by almost a full second with a knockout run, beside him sat Zerdzinski of Team Lotus, Hunt's teammate took 3rd with Loeb of Dreams rounding off the second row, Team Lotus and Dreams shared row 3. FAFF, the winners of Australia found themselves on the 4th row of the grid in Malaysia, with Bentley and Superstar sharing the last two final rows once again.

In the race there was no stopping Hunt who stormed ahead to turn his Pole into Victory by a staggering 29.493 seconds, a fantastic drive that puts him 6 points ahead in the drivers championship. Hunt's teammate backed him up with 3rd after an intense battle with Loeb of Dreams who gained 2nd. Behind the top 3 were the two Team Lotus drivers taking 4th and 6th with the second Dreams car between in 5th. FAFF were unable to gain from their grid position and finished where they started in 7th and 8th and again Bentley and Superstar take the last four positions.

The Pro Race Qualifying was dominated by Torpedos and Tintex as a car a-piece took the front rows, Fasuballes, Elan, Eagle, and Ford GT Team were all close to take the top ten positions on the grid. The remaining drivers were so close it was almost a coin toss to who would get the better position.

It was a good start to the race with many drivers jockeying for position, great wheel to wheel action but it was clear Tintex and Torpedos were the teams to beat, but there was one team that brought the fight to them. FCSB found the speed in the rain to challenge the top two teams, but it was Tintex that took the win and the 3rd Podium, Torpedos took 2nd and 5th with FCSB taking 4th and 6th.

The other teams were unable to deal with the waterlogged track successfully and ended up an entire lap down. At the head of these team were Fasuballes for 7th and 8th with Team Speed and Ford GT Racing taking the final points from the race.

Elite saw a surprise Pole from none other than BMR's Brundle beating Samantha Didion to the top spot by 0.01 seconds, Paisley for Team Scouse, and Thomas for McKenzie took row 2, 295 Racing locked out the 3rd Row of the grid with BMR and Barca taking the 4th row, rounding out the top 10 were McKenzie and Didikong. Following the top ten were Team Scouse for 11th, Carroll took 12th and 13th, 14th went to the second Barca driver, followed by NZL, MCR, NZL, Skyeladder, Bradshaw and the second Skyeladder driver rounded off the top 20.

The Race saw Team Scouse take the victory once more with 295 along side for 2nd and Bradshaw taking a fantastic final podium after a brilliant wet run. 295 took 4th, McKenzie took 5th, NZL took 6th, McKenzie 7th, Bradshaw took 8th but a shocking 9th for MCR with a disappointing 10th for the second Scouse driver after a mix up in fuel left him extremely heavy.
