Hein
If the rule was clear for everyone that it is not allowed to buy high talented drivers, then the ban would be OK for me. But if Jordan did not know about this internal rule, how should he have followed it? To tell him afterwards he should give away his driver which he luckily found does not sound fair to me.
So wether the ban was fair or not depends on the question wether or not everyone has known about the rule not to buy better drivers. Otherwise to upgrade your staff and drivers is a valid way to develop your team. And everyone of your league has the same options to do so, which makes it fair again.
I think that you missed the point Hein. It's not about buying high talented drivers, it's about a glitch that allowed Jordan to buy a level 14 driver while he was still level 5 or 6. That's simply something how this game is not build and it happened because of some kind of loophole in the code I guess that such an action is possible at all.
It's of course not Jordan's fault for buying such a driver although one can understand that the others don't like it because it's contrary to how this game is supposed to work. That the communication between the two didn't work as it ought to is just another string of events which escalated the whole situation. But I think it's fair to say, even without telling sb. beforehand (simply because it's such an unusual event), that the manager should not be allowed to use the driver until he reaches that level himself. If he has to sell him or not, is in my opinion not that important, but using him in a league race seems unfair and should be prohibited (at least if the host or the majority of managers in that league want it).
Another case of such an unusual event is when some managers have 100 accl at the season's start. A simple kick and rejoin solves the situation there, too. But of course it's sth that's not being told beforehand to everybody simply because one doesn't expect it to happen.
So I hope that you two can get together as friends again and put the whole matter behind you.
