Is it supposed to be there? I have one in IE where the "search" bar usually is, and the search bar has been shifted to the right and now the language bar partly covers my level/rep rating etc.

Thanks for pointing this out, I've fixed the display in IE.

It's only in the free version, to cover some of the costs of maintaining a (fast growing) free service. There are no adverts for subscribers.

or if you use chrome....adblocker takes that out

i use firefox, ghostery takes care of the trackers with only 2 on this site, and adblock plus takes care of adverts. i dont notice the adverts, but it is impacting my ability to login in properly (the advert i mean).
