As part of our ongoing efforts to improve the service and eliminate lag with the simulator / viewer we have just performed a major hardware upgrade to the web server. This will increase the performance and capacity of the service.

You should notice:
  • Better loading times browsing the site
  • Less lag during races
  • And... we hope to see this completely eliminate the service crashes which have been occurring on Wednesday and Sunday evenings (GMT).

There are more updates to come in this area, but our hope is that the changes we have made over the last 24 hours will result in a significant improvement to the service for everyone.

I offered my services to work on the translation from English to French since many terms are mispelled in my language and makes the game look "average".

Yes I can confirm that the pages are loading a whole lot faster - I was lucky in that they loaded pretty fast anyway but now it is immediate.

The race was lagging jumping an re-winding all over the place 2night (6-640pm BST) as bad as ever, was fine yesterday not sure why, but only a couple of guys were effected i think. strange.

I have used various browsers and can confirm that the pages load faster.  I do not have 2D so cannot confirm if there is any problems with lag.  I do now some people who do so will ask them.

Everything loads faster and yesterday during the whole race from start had no problems at all compared to previous races apart one time for few seconds. So thumbs up from me (Y).

Yeah i no most of u said it was fine but me & couple others had problems, maybe just my internet playing up or something & just coincedence as it was fine the day b4, i'll see whats its like in an hour when we race 2day.

There will be a much more stringent test of the updates this evening.

Wednesday evening is the 2nd highest load on the system. (the other being Sunday evening).

We believe things will be ok, but once again we rely on your feedback.
