Will my car be really bad next seson

I was cloning quite a few parts last season and it really slowed down devolopment for this season. My parts are at only 25% but I was wondering does that mean my cars will be slower than last year ( parts at around 50%) or is it an onging development as I do more seasons. If it isn't will it really slow my cars down?

DJ, The system is designed to prevent one team from dominating the league. So if you have a highly developed car at the start of this season, you won't have the start of next season.

Ok,I don't think I'll be cloning again any time soon though because that seemed to really slow down development because now I'm getting a new model every two days whereas it was every 5-6 days after cloning last season.I think the problem was I was puttting  100% design enphasis  into the car for last season for the first half of the season and then 100% design enphasis for this season in the second half  which semmed to be the most logic thing to do but I think I understand why that didn't turn out too well and I'll try something else this season.
