Let's say I've got +10 for acceleration due to my tyre or fuel choice. Would I still have to use my design points to get it to max as shown in the research review or would I just need to get it to show 200 on the research overview which takes the +10 into account? Because for many seasons it shows my acceleration as 200 but it still shows I'm behind in the research review.

Research shows the values without suppliers, for you and your opponents.

In Elite 200 is hard cap. I.e. 200 + 10 by suppliers still makes it 200.
If others have pushed ACC to 200, but you are at 190 + 10, you are fine.

Not so much in Rookie and Pro. 50 and 100 are softcaps. I.e. you can't add anymore design points but suppliers come on top.
