New Driver Dilemma

Hello! I have just added a new driver to my team with high talent but in order to make her race, I must fire my existing driver, who is the first pilot in my league at the moment, while I am in the middle of season. Is there a special award that is worth waiting when my pilot becomes champion as of the end of the season, or may I just kick him at the moment to replace with my new driver. What do you suggest? 

The better question here is why would you get rid of a driver that for the time being is producing positive results.... All drivers' achievements are permanently recorded in their stats. Aside from that, there's no other reward and/or award that I know of.  

If you select drivers from the left hand tabs, you can change the order of your drivers so your reserve driver is prioritised and gains experience. 
You then retain both drivers as long as you can afford both. 
This enables you to switch between both when you want.
