Well, it makes sense, right?
The Drivers Championship is awarded to the driver himself, not the Team. As you were no longer his team when the season ended you kind of forfeited your claim, that the driver scored this award under you.
This is why I replaced my Champion right after the end of the season and not a second sooner. ;)
Not really, Benjamin. He secured the title under Marcs team, as he was so many points ahead, he couldn\'t be caught anymore. Thats not clinching the title, as this is decided the moment, the season ends. ;)
I understand your point, Marc, but you got what you deserved from it... the Team Championship, as this is what you get from all your drivers\' scored points, no matter how much.
As for the drivers\' credit... He actually got his credit. Look at the upper table, where \'championships\' is at 1. As for the lower figure... he scored the drivers championship in this league, but as driver alone and not under your administration anymore. ;)
I looked up the FIA ruleset and even there nothing is written about that matter, what leads back to my theory, that the team has not really anything to do with the DC.
I wonder what would have happened if somebody in my league signed him before the last race of the season. Could someone else have gotten credit for a DC without even scoring a point?
