Well, i have used yesterday coins, to get the perfect setup for the today Race.

Was ist stattdessen passiert?
Today i loged me into the Game, and see, there is totaly diferent Setup setting, and the drivers are cry about a totaly wrong setup.

Passierte das Problem, während du WLAN, Mobile Daten oder beides genutzt hast?

I don't knew, i don't use 2 times 3 coins again, for try to reproduce it.

Well, i have a stable Cable Internet, 100 Mbits up and download. I have also made some Pictures, where you see the wrong Setup, and that i have the right one tested it, with diferent Tires.

Hi Shamara

I can't be 100% certain but it sounds to me like the weather conditions changed since you ran your last practice lap. The perfect setup purchase will automatically change your setup so that it is correct for the weather.

There are 4 different possible setups for each track:


  1. Dry Weather

  2. Light Rain (Cloud with 1 rain drop)

  3. Rain (Cloud with 3 rain drops)

  4. Heavy Rain (Cloud with Lightning Bolt)



Your drivers feedback is based on your last practice lap, and not the current setup. So if your last practice lap was dry, and it is now raining. The driver will tell you the setup for the last practice lap is bad.

What was the weather when you did set up the car? Because the driver’s feedback always refer to the last free practice lap and compare it with the current weather. So if you tried a dry setup in free practice and now it’s raining the driver will complain. Also if you trained the driver and some stats git better he now might want a lower wing level than the last free practice run.

Best setup will give you always the best setup for the current conditions but the driver’s feedback will not update unless you do another free practice run.

Lets say:
Conditions were dry. Therefore, the best setup for the car was based on dry conditions.
If you do a free practice lap this setup is saved.

Now let’s say it starts raining. Your last free practice run was on dry conditions and the driver remembers it. Even though the setup was changed by the “best setup” feature you didn’t test it on free practice and the driver will complain because he remembers the dry setup, even though the setup was changed.

Just do another free practice lap and you’ll be fine.

But is that realy such these big diference? Yesterday i tested it with Dampers on Neutral, Car High on 11 and Wing on 7. Now are Dampers neutral, Car High on 16 and wings are on 12?

You see, the diference are realy big.

Edit: Changed the Picture into a blank Link, because the Pics was not seen.

Answer: Yes, yesterday it was a dry weather condition. the pics was made at Heavy Rain (3 Drops on the cloud) and now are again other Numbers, in a Rain condition, with one Drop. Also i can't drive another test round, unfortunaly, i used all 5 yesterday.

Yes the setups in these pictures look about correct to me. The adjustment required in Pro is half of that required in elite, and is fixed between each weather condition, so with time you will be able to work out what adjustment to make based on the weather condition even if all your practice laps are used.

As free information (since it's a very rare weather condition) in elite, the adjustment for Storm weather condition (Cloud with Lightning Bolt) is +50/+50, so in pro I believe it would be +25/+25

Can the Game Devs maybe change the behaviour of the drivers then, and made maybe also some Aditional Rounds, for testing it, when these Weather Changes are?

And Yes, i am Sorry, for the Title in the Pictures... for me it was looking like.. you knew, f**ed up settings :)

I understand, but best to keep things polite if possible ;-) , but no worries from me I was amused. Guess that means i'm feeling cheerful today.

If I remember correctly, The drivers will recommend to you before you run your first practice lap that you wait until closer to the time of the race to run the laps so that the weather conditions are aligned, I'll keep an eye out for a few days to see if that message still exists.

As for more practice laps, in combination with the above i'd personally say it's up to the manager to manage their practice laps as a limited resource, and you have a fall back of using perfect setup if you run out of laps and the conditions have changed.

Edit: Could you explain for me what you are thinking when you say change the behaviour of the drivers in your suggestion?

I promise will flag the suggestion on your behalf in the moderators room for consideration, but I'm not sure it will go anywhere personally.

so, many thank's for helping me out there. So is not a Bug, it is a feature (sry, can resist that old joke) ;)

And yeah, normaly, i try also to stay polite, but today i was realy worried, as i see these hughe Changes, after i use Coins, for get a perfect Setup, which i buyed with real money. So i was maybe a bit Inpolite, as i writhe the Picture Titles. I apologize for that :)

don't fee me now with 10'000 Euros, like they doing, in the real F1 :D
