Well, I do agree that the situation before the update with the game setting up enough default fuel to ensure it's enough to cover every likely eventuality plus some reserve and let the manager take care to lower it to the actually needed amount to get rid of any liquid ballast, at the risk of getting it wrong, is the preferable one, but in the end it's still the team manager's responsibility to ensure the cars are set up with enough fuel to finish the race. Thus repeating the race would be unfair towards those managing it (or at least getting closer to the line if not), however that is something you need to discuss with the league host, as there's the final decision about a rerun and the request needs to come from.
