Before the update, the Youth Academy and the Transfer Market constituted a well balanced system for acquiring new drivers and personnel.
The current system after the update makes little sense. What is the point in enabling eg. a level 10 team to acquire a level 39 driver on the transfer market to make the team competitive to such an extent that it can win races?
This is comparable to the real life FIA supporting newcomers Cadillac in order for them to compete with Mercedes or Ferrari, or enabling a Formula 3 car to compete with Formula 1 cars in a so-called "Unified Formula". Absurd and unthinkable! Only hard work and dedication will let you progress through the ranks and Formulas - why should it be different in iGP? (especially in view of arguments like the current DRS and "overtake mode" controversies, aimed at making the game more real-life like).
Some of the real-life emulation of iGP has definitely suffered from this update.
Just one of my thoughts on the multitude of changes introduced by the 2026 update. Were all of the changes really necessary, and more importantly, did they improve the gameplay?
