Hello,
I previously cancelled my VIP subscription due to various bugs related to the VIP status. I assumed these issues had finally been resolved, so I decided to subscribe again.

However, after joining a second league just to test things out, I immediately encountered another problem: the design of my car is completely broken. This is exactly the type of issue that made me stop my subscription in the first place.

Could you please investigate this and let me know when these VIP‑related bugs will be fixed?
Thank you.

That's a normal design if joining mid-season, looks like 3rd race. It's seen as too punishing since I don't know when by many, but no bug, except in former Elite it was 3 DP/race to spent and here it's the 1 from former Rookie. Not that it would be much of a difference.

Hi Duke, if you can offer more precision in what you mean, what do you feel is a bug here and what would be the way you expect it to work? Regardless of whether it works differently to how you expected or not, I want to understand your experience and ensure I can improve it.

DP are independent of level, just star rating of the CD. Your other account must've joined during the season break (before first race), then a competitive design based on the races the league had last season using the current active CD is generated. It's mid-season (any time after the first and before the last race) which is punishing with only past races held this season counted, thus missing the start design points of last season plus most of the research and HQ points the other teams earned so far.

But please add what you'd have expected to find joining. As I wrote the current system is seen too punishing for years, but finally the time to change it is now.

PS: Also like the livery, strong classic McLaren vibes (country colours also of course).

Hi, thanks again for the detailed explanation.
I understand how the system currently works, but in my situation it was quite unexpected. I joined a new league after the first race — right after restarting my VIP subscription — and I ended up with all components at level 6. That makes the car extremely uncompetitive, even though I wasn’t switching leagues repeatedly; I simply joined a new one after renewing VIP.
When joining a new league or switching to another one, I believe it would be fairer to have a more balanced baseline, ideally based on the manager’s level and the CD star rating. At the moment, the starting values feel a bit random, and the performance gap becomes very difficult to recover from.
A more consistent entry system would help ensure that new or returning players can remain competitive without feeling penalised for joining at a particular moment in the season. I think this would benefit both the gameplay experience and long‑term player engagement.

Completely agree to you...

We all know, that during the season, players are leaving a league due to different reasons. If another player takes the free seat mid season, he is completely chanceless and has to wait for the next season to be competitive.

If you would get a reasonable amount of DPs to spend, then the new player would be motivated to immediately participate in the races.

I think, that would lead to more activity on the track.
