Race not start

Damn, that's annoying. I understand how frustrating this must be for you.

I saw this in the admin panel earlier. I had to manually force your race to start on the hour because it was not starting on its own. It said it started... then 20 minutes later I got a new notification that it was not running, so I came to see where I could find you and investigate. Can you describe what happened? Did the race run for a while then stop? 

It is the only race in the entire service which has failed in the last 48h or so, FYI, so it is something unique to this race or simulator. Because it is a rerun, I believe this is not a coincidence, it's likely a broken race somehow. It needs to be quarantined now for investigation to find out why it is corrupt. Apologies, you have all been sent Tokens again, that's all I can offer as a remedy for now while I figure this out.

Tonight I was doing work on the simulator in this area, on resume states for races, so this is very relevant to the work I am currently doing and will tie in well to it. I should be able to give it good focus while I address it.

No problem, I've sent everyone an additional 50 Tokens, just this once. I understand how everyone makes time in their schedule for a league race and how disruptive it must have been for you all twice in 4 days.

To be clear, it's not so much a case of something breaking twice. It's a broken race that's corrupt every time it tries to run, it seems. It would be the same if it ran 50 times. It is not that we had a new problem in the service today, it was totally stable for thousands of others races. Every single other race in the service. I add that as it is not reflective of the overall service currently. It seems isolated to this race.

Do you have any information on what happened? Was the race running for a while befoe it crashed? I'll investigate to ensure it doesn't happen again.

Okay. I've identified some technical issues with this race, so I think I know what caused it. Now I need to understand how this happened. Thanks, I probably don't need more information from you now, but if there's anything you think might be useful, let me know.

FYI - it looks like it never properly deleted the data from Friday, it was still on the server and basically blocked the race from running normally today. I will add some additional security around this to avoid it happening to any other races in future.

Given you guys race weekly, it is especially unfortunate. I'll again check why this happened to this race. We have been seeing rerun races having more issues than normal ones but I haven't seen a league like this for some time. If it's any consolation, this case is an outlier.
