So am having to use nearly 150 designers to get an update every 2days at a rate of 6% , So the question i have is if i let my designers do it every 4days or get one update at the end of the season will i get a greater increase or will it still be 6%???

Here - read this:

http://igpmanager.com/play/?url=forum-thread/697

I don't understand it that much to be honest. I'm at about 50% on my current car design and have about 20 designers on each part. At the current moment, it's going to take 5 days until the next update - too long, especially if I'm trying to focus on next season's car - which will be at a design % stage, less than what I started the current year.

 Needs some explaining I think...

wot you cud do is. put the first four on as low a date as poss then after you get the update move them to bottom 3 and so on and so forth.

i was just hoping at some point today a dev can give me the answer i need.

The minimum design time is 2 days, I read somewhere else on the forums about this development change. In my example, spreading the designers thinly across each element doesn't work. I'm adding enough designers to develop within the 2 days and then will switch to the next other parts that need updating.

Will have to see how that works out... but it is surely quicker than spreading the designers evenly over multiple parts from the look of it...

The development of this game changes often as tweaks and changes are made, so you kinda need to keep checking the forums for updates that they post about. I think the 'News and Annoucements' forum is one to check through now and again..

Developed a car to about 85% for new season with updates every two days. Used not more than 60 designers for that. Season ended.
Next season I am running fine, but now the car for the again next season shows 6% and the next update is coming....1,5 seasons in the future by using 140 designers.

Means: 1,5 "years" I would have to drive with a 6% car. Than possibly going to 15% for ten years? *lol*

Great! I am a dead man walking now.

Don't understand the sense of that anyway.

Thanks for that update Alexander - clearly some kind of design/logic flaw in the overall functionality of iGPManager then I think...

I just emulated Alexander's account and the updates are due for tomorrow (15th Feb). Unless I have misunderstood something I thought you were claiming that your updates were coming in 1.5seasons which would be weeks and weeks ahead?

Everything you have said is correct Jason, except that it is changing a lot. The design rate has been constant since launch, it just gets harder to level up the higher the levels are.

you will need more designers as i said in other posts if you off set so many parts like top 4 and bottom 3 and just move it every otherday you will not need so many designers it wot i did but i am screwed just like you. but i shud balance out over a few season once you figure it out

Ahhhhhh!

Sorry, sorry, sorry, Jack!

It was my other account --> styrox@online.de

I feel different, after reading all the stuff here in the forums. I feel its the same for anybody. I feel as well as the cut from "every two days" to "taking a looooong time" is way to hard.

I also feel a 100% car is far to much better than a let's say 60% car. But...as said...its all the same for everybody. That doesn't mean I like it, but I can live with it. Well...as if I had a chance. :-)

I still find it way to hard. The component of designing is nearly gone, as I have to look at it every other week. Gets boring, I think.

Look at my progress: Its the second season of that team (now PRO). I mean....this is with 140 designers!

As somebody already mentioned you'll be better off focussing more designers on fewer parts, rather than spreading them thinly across every part.  Then shuffle them onto the less developed parts once the new model is made...
