Hi Jack, I'm requesting reward points for our league  "International F1 league"   our league was affacted when Sundays race wouldnt run, it was moved on to Wednesday and ran successfully, thank you

Would like an update about what is going on in this league (see link below), we started the Belgian GP on Saturday and this race has still not been run.
Whats going on?

Sorry seems to work again

Yeah the system fell over again for a minute but I managed to get everything back up.  I'll keep an eye on it.  Really sorry for the glitches but at least the races should go to completion this time.

We have just temporarily disabled practice laps until we get through this peak period.

Cars are stuck in the pits after recieving instructions but ignoring them.
Then the dreaded CONNECTION ERROR and Race Not Open.

I think it's fallen over again.

Can I ask, when we get the 'Connection error' message, or Race not open, has the simulator stopped? Or could events be happening without us being able to see?

For example in the race that I posted above, I'd just entered the pits. Graphically the sim showed my car stuck in the pits while others carried on and gaps increased. At the time of pitting the car was in 3rd place and had dropped to 7th in the pitlane. However upon return the car was lapping (after ignoring the requested fuel/tyres) on softs with 30L in the tank (requested hards with 95L), in 9th place.

Is there some kind of record, or transcript of what happened in that break in the race which was covered by Connection Errors and Race not open messages..? In the interest of fairness, I'd simply like to know at what point the simulation stops and how the point where it continues is chosen.

Kev: There is a lot of information I can look up after the fact, so yes I can answer your questions.  Please give me some time to do so though as I obviously have quite a few issues I need to keep my eyes on!

The 2D viewer predicts what will happen for up to 20 seconds if the connection is lost while it tries to regain the connection.  If the connection fails for any longer than 20 seconds only then do you see the connection error message.  Some things such as the moment a car leaves the pit is not predicted and so in your case the connection will have failed when your car was at the garage.

Unless there is a problem in the connection between your computer and our servers then the "connection problem" notice does indicate that the simulator, or the server has failed.

I am managing to recover races fairly quickly right now when there have been problems today so please be patient and the race should come back up.

I have no problem in awaiting a response Andrew, and I appreciate all your work on making iGP what it is. I was not aware of the 2D viewer predicting actions for any time period, so that's a supprise :).

Please, dont put our race up again. Postpone it to tomorrow. Its no joy running it again now.

All races should be back up now (resumed from where they left off).  I'll handle specific requests now.
