Is there something I'm missing?

Probably, he wins every other season :( - And he had more time to develop his car with a worse car, meaning better benefits. It was only season 6, in which I began beating him, so season 8 was meant to be my second championship...until you ruined it! :P lol

I think one of my drivers will have to go, which is sad, because they've been fantastic since season 3, but clearly not as good as I thought they were.

I had a look at the cars you quoted Jamie.  There are a number of factors that are holding you back.  I'll just say the following to try to give you a little bit of help without being unfair:

As has been mentioned, some of the driver attributes are far more important than others for racing performance.  Alin will by now have a fairly good idea which these are!

Switching suppliers has an impact on your performance as would happen in the real world as a result of your team having to work with new people, and having to adjust the rest of the car to play well with the new parts.  This is pretty minor though, which is why I'm mentioning it specifically!

You're not that far behind Alin so you're probably trying to stick to your current way of doing things without being particularly adventurous.  I'd suggest experimenting a bit more so you can find out what else might give you an edge.

Thanks Andrew. I think I might have found one of the problems, but it will have to be tried and tested first. It's really interesting to know about the suppliers, although I doubt that would be a big factor, considering I have had the same suppliers since the beta.

Let's hope some adventuring will lead me to another Championship :D

If anything that's a compliment to how good you are in comparison to me ;) Although hopefully in the coming seasons, the deficit that I currently hold to you and Brady should dwindle.

Question was adressed to Andrew, David. Andrew knows for sure the issue. I don't. Jamie doesn't. I just want Andrew to not reveal anything to any of us, as this would be unfair and bias the entire game and concept of fairness.

Anyway, since my name and drivers were publicly dragged in here, without being asked for permission, I will have a word in private with Andrew. What Jamie is doing is not fair, to my book.

I can assure you that I haven't been fed any information that will help me in races. I've been taking notes and guessing as to what I think is the problem, and with my new driver, I might be able to resolve this very soon :)

Well, first of all, you mentioned me and David, without informing us. You posted links and our names, without telling us. Normally, when hinting something as you did in your opened thread, sounds like you are accusing someone or something and those should be informed first. Secondly, you posted links to (true, public information) our drivers, as they were public domain. Of course, valuable information is hidden, but if anyone will want to see anyone's drivers, he could check for himself. Now, because you have an issue, everyone visiting the thread will click the links. And last of all, what's the point of all this ? You are clearly not faster as you would have liked. So ? Is our fault ? Do you think we are cheating ? Are you asking Andrew for help ? Are you here just to yell your impossibility in finding a solution ? What exactly ? Are you asking us to find a solution to your problems ? OK, maybe I am too hard, but I don't have an answer to that myself, I don't moan, I don't publicly ask myself why someone is faster and how to stop him. So far, I've been trying my best to finish as high as I can. Sometimes I wonder myself at my results. I was lucky with two good drivers, I try my best to do a correct setup and strategy, work on the car as everybody else and that's it basically. No magic tricks. The only moaning I ever did was about the stability of the game platform. And that was directed to developers, not to any of the players.

As I explained in my original post, it was desperate because I hadn't a clue as to why my performance was so lak lustre compared to what I thought it should have been. I never accused anyone of cheating, as I also stated in my second post.

All I asked was whether anyone knew if there was a reason as to why I was under-performing, because I couldn't see it myself. As it happens, thanks to this discussion, I have been able to single out where I think the problem lies, and personally I don't see a problem with trying to better myself. Maybe you've taken offense to something I've said or done somewhere, and if I have, then I apologise.

I wasn't asking for a quick solution as to how I could immediately get ahead, or anything like that. But if you think that I have been moaning, then fair enough. I guess I will stop 'moaning' now.

Although I don't understand where you're coming from by posting links to yours' and Brady's drivers. Everyone can see them anyway, the graph doesn't reveal anything, because another driver could have the same graph and vastly different stats.

@Alin: I agree that asking for a little feedback might be a little beta testing behaviour, but I think Andrew handled it very well by not giving away anything. And I don't see how you think he's accusing you of cheating. As for posting the links to your drivers: you're leading the Hall of Fame, were you really under the impression no one has checked out your team to try and learn a bit about good team management? If anything I think the chances are higher someone will click on the leader of the Hall of Fame, than on a link in a lost post on the forum..

I really don't know more than Jamie. He is the better manager from us two. I don't know about records, positions and all, I don't even know how many wins I got. I may have exagerated things, I admit, what I really felt annoying was the way Jamie went directly on the forums. And I know Jamie knows a bit about me and David's cars and drivers from the chat room during races. Bottom line is I don't know the answer. I am trying my best, I don't think I am the best manager, I've been lucky with two good drivers and try to do my best in each race.

Well this part of the forum is called 'Gameplay assistance' and I needed some assistance ;) lol. I apologise anyway, I didn't know it would get to you so much, and I guess I'll try to do less in the future. I can't help being a competitive person, and apart from outright cheating, I'll do what I can to get ahead of the competition by learning from them and others.

No need to apologize. In my opinion, I though "gameplay assistance" means people coming and ask like Deedee to Dexter: "Oooooooh, what does this button do ?" and things like that, not asking for specific inside information that helps you gain an edge over others. No need to stop asking and I was just expressing my point, I don't run things or anything, I am mearly a player who didn't like I was reffered without being asked and second, you asked (in my opinion, maybe I'm wrong) for too much information, things that are FOBY. Just my two cents.
