Service interruption (30 Jun 2018 at 18:00 - 20:00 GMT)

There's not much I can do about what lap everyone got into their viewer once the race was on. I can only get the races going and the service back to normal and try to give as much information about when things will be back (the info was accurate to within 2-3 mins regardless of the race).

Most started on time, only a couple are 1-2 minutes late to start. They should all be going now.

... I found the problem. An "&" symbol was removed from one line of code earlier today. That one absent character caused everything. This has been patched and so the problem should not recur going forward. It just goes to show the complexity of a system like this. One tiny symbol in the right place at the right time, or absent at the right time, goes into a butterfly effect.

That said, the worst thing to happen tonight was races starting late, so it wasn't the end of the world either. We got on top of it fast and then tracked down the cause and resolved it.

I will postpone the leagues that requested it now.

Although the original issue is now fixed, we're still having some fallout from the issues earlier. 20:00 GMT races will also start up to 10 minutes late.

Our apologies, we are doing our best to manage the situation.

The races are all starting now.

If your races haven't already started, they will start any second, only 25 left to start.

EDIT: They should all be started now.

EDIT 2: A dozen or so races from 17:00 GMT had to be postponed. They will run again in the next calendar slot. 'Italo Ferrari', I believe your league was one of them. You should be able to prepare again now.

Hi Sebestyén, I have not said this was fair on anyone anywhere. We've only apologised and done what we can to help people affected by it. In this case, if you can get the league host to request the race be re-run then we will do that for you. This will allow you to recover your reputation, money and anything else from this race and the chance to run everything all over again. That's what I'd say is fair, and I'll be happy to do that for you if the league host requests it here.

Those additional leagues should be postponed now.
