Soo July came and went.

NASCAR!!  ;-)  (not like I really know, just stirring the pot)

So it would appear that the main complaint is the fact that an update for July was announced and it didn't happen and that this is still on the home page - thank you Rudolf for putting this into perspective! :)
I think the devs has probably accepted this as an error and it will not happen again.

The game is new and the guys developing it have probably never done anything like this before.  Developing a game is more than just the game mechanics - they have a whole company to run.  I have some knowledge of those difficulties. 80% of your time is spent dealing with people and you wonder when will you ever get time to do any actual work!!

So if things don't go to plan then we should not be surprised - it will happen eventually.

Although there is a beta in progress there is still a lot that comitted players can do for the live game as has been shown already.  Ideas, suggestions and helping new players in the forums is a huge help to the devs.  Being positive, making people welcome & feel part of a group and helping each other to understand the game is one of the best ways most of you can help - and you are doing that, which is great.

I don't think enough thanks is given to the player who do answer a lot of posts and make the game fun - so thank you from me (a nobody!), you know who you are.

I think it would be nice to have an estimated date for the Q2 update or some smaller updates (I'm not talking about bugfixes). It doesn't have to come true, as there are many unpredictable events, I would just like to know, when you hope it can be done.
For me, it's easier to wait 3 or 4 weeks, knowing nothing will happen, than checking every day and being disappointed.

The expected date of release for Q2 is uncertain, even us testers do not know, remember there is only a handful of devs for this game. The game recently got a thumb up by FIA and iRacing has partnered with the IGP Games. For now, race and it will be duely announced.

Good racing and has alot of upside. I bet there are a lot of distractions. I wouldnt be surprised if  someone trying to buy em out all ready. 

Any news on when the q2 patch could be released or how the beta testing is going?

I am not speaking for the devs but this post might explain why there is a delay.
