Free Trials of 2D Viewer Increased!

That\'s correct, plus we had to lower the limit, because the sim/viewer was unable to cope with the amount of users it got directly after launch. The number of free trials in particular was causing those nasty lag spikes, races not running etc.

Once we lowered the limit that all went away. As we raise the efficiency of the simulator and viewer systems we will raise the limit back up again. There\'s a lot of demand for them at the moment, so the only tip I can give is to get on 5mins before your race starts for the best shot at using one. If your race is at a really busy time of day it might be difficult to get on regardless.

No problem with me as I understand the difficulties you are having with the simulator.
I am quite happy to let others into the 2D before me as I am well aware of how it works.

Perhaps there is a way to seperate the servers so that 1 server supports the Subscriber users and the other for free trial users?

I\'m trying to get rid of my trials before i subscribe, so it would be a nice option to have if able to do

E: I notice it says \"free trials slots in use\" so maybe this has already been done, i\'ll just have to wait then till i subscribe, at least it might save me a few quid here and there

This message is there like 3-4 race inrow so i think there is something wrong. Dont like that when i cant even use mu trial. What new people have to do now? They never see how 2D looks like because its allways busy. new users will not buy thing that they dont see it in work. If this was done for lower overload for subscribed users then its hard do get new subscribers. Just my opinion.

The only suggestion would be to make a bigger sized server, though if trials can be used, people wont buy...

Buying Subs --> Increasing server size --> More trial users (and start again)

i tried to use the viewer trial on my phone... didnt work but took them off me.... tried twice like an idiot!!! any chance of those being reset or is it a bit cheeky due to me being stupid?

Unfortunately it would be a bit of an ongoing problem, if we start increasing viewer trials, as there were several requests already, so we can't do that. The trials are only for trying out the 2D Mode, not for general usage (as the name implies).

Is there a chance I could get a bit of a refund? I haven´t got any trials left even though I´ve only actually used one. The first one I tried back before the number of trials was increased, but it appeared my old computer couldn´t handle it, so that was one wasted. Since the increase I have been able to watch one, but the other one just magically disappeared. The situation then is that I´v only seen a 2D race once, but I´m all out of trials.

Trial is and must be thing that users can use BEFORE they buy subscription. Trials are limited not unlimited thing so if someone uses them all then thats it. They subscribe or dont see 2D at all and thats it. Right now you just CANT use the trials. So new people just dont know how its looks like or feels like to use it. Why anyone have to buy something they have never seen? Like people are stupid that they buy things anyway? Yeah maybe some are but some want do see that first. But ok. Because of this attitude I have option just never subscribe and that I will do.

Hundreds of trials are being used every single day. You may just be unlucky, in a situation where the league you are in is coming late to the queue when all slots are already taken.

The mundane nature of the situation was explained in a post two weeks ago, on this page. To say it is an 'attitude' is completely inaccurate, it is the technical limit of our hardware. Anyone who is watching the races and has experienced lag has seen first hand the symptoms of this. That lag occurs when we touch full capacity of what we can support at this time.

We are working flat out to expand that capacity to meet the growing demand.

I dont agree on having to spend money on 2D viewer. Not everyone has money to throw away. Don't get me wrong, iGP Manager is a very good game and am enjoying it. I only have one 2D left. How do people take control of their drivers in the race without it? To be honest it just makes me feel like why bother playing when everyone has a bigger advanatge then you just because they have a credit card.

Hi Nic, live racing is something we want the whole community to have access to. As part of the Q1 update (out in just over a week) we've added live control and chat for free users. In other words, your concern will be addressed. See the patch notes for details.

We feel the subscribers should be paying for a better overall experience, but not necessarily a performance advantage. Things subscribers will get that free users will not after the patch will be the 2D viewer, 3D livery builder and the other benefits such as those that come with league hosting. Numerous other benefits will be added with time, but fairness on track will remain paramount.

Please add a option in timetable view to alter the strategy and the possibility to specify the amount of fuel. Because it's a huge disadvantage if you can't finetune the strategy as freeuser, and have to enter pits in the last laps if it rains suddenly during a race, and your calculation in forefront of a race gets distorted :)

Thankyou for your reply Jack. I am currently a hosting a league with 2 drivers per team. Once my free trial is over does my league end, do I suddenly stop hosting it? Also is there any other way to subscribe? I wuld if I could however I have no access to a credit card or paypal. I'm not sure how to work them things.

I agree those who pay money to help the game deserve added extras such as you say the 3D livery builder. Thoguh also agree anyone who plays should have an equal chance of being a winning teams.

You may continue hosting the league after the trials expire. I guess the hosting was given to you by the previous host?
