*** Q1 Patch Deployment - April 3rd ***

Eh, no linux support it looks like.

mm 2D been down for 20 minutes now. We were half way through a race (well.. lap 18 out of 60) ... Any ideas when we can expect it to come back up?

I think they have all been taken down..

Some had major issues in their leagues, so I think to stop it going into rage members, they have stopped them all and will move them back a day.

It's the 1st big patch for this game, so its a learning curve..

Nope, 2D is back up, races still going, I'm a lap down due to the weather change :(

Agreed, them actually communicating this would be greatly appreciated.

Well. I asked them to stop our league..

Someone on Inters was going over 15 seconds faster than someone on full wets in Heavy Rain... Also 3 of us in TS was trying to pit drivers to go from softs to wets and each time they pitted, they put softs back on.. So some issues are there.. It might take more than a day to sort all of the small issues...


Again, it's a 1st main patch for these and it's all learning, the next patch, they might take the whole game off line for a few hours before hand..

Well... you can wait till Google Native Client is finished, or Unity3D release a linux webplayer(not happening anytime soon) OR till the Unity3D for Flash is done(probably the closest)

Also I hear some have managed to run it with WINE. Not sure if they meant the webplayer or the dev kit though :(

unity 4 me :P, its a pretty neat designer, simple a little too simple maybe :P

I'm confused by the race in my league. It's start time was set to 2330, if I click on the "Live" tab that brings up the normal screen, but both timing and 2D says "Race Not Open". Through navigating other parts of todays race, it looks like it has already run, but not been completed.

Seriously developers, communication.

Any idea on when our race will start? If it will start? If it's being posponed to tomorrow now that it's so late and the race will take another 45mins? Any useful information at all?

And btw, i managed to use the wicked awesome livery designer. Shame i can't see it in use. Excellent priorities.

Hey developers... as Jaxon said, can you communicate with us on what's happening / going to happen?

I mean.. I'm on the same league as him, and I'm waiting on a "race not open" screen that never goes furthers.

Can you guys shed any light on the situation at the moment?

Ours isn't done - is it okay to reschedule for tomorrow - I am the only subbed person in my league, but feel it would be nice if we could all watch race together?

What was happening with the chat?  It seems to be ok now and there are other people talking in your race just now.

Soon after we ran the update I did notice a race where I couldn't say anything or read any messages from anyone else.  Is this what you noticed?

The Live timing is buggered, it's turned to rain in my race and everytime I pit to put on wets it puts on softs instead. The leader is the only guy able to change to wets and he's 25 seconds a lap faster than everyone else.

As a newly subscribed member of iGPmanager I can report I've had no issues with this update, I am not sure about everything that was included in it, but I've not had the issues that others have reported. It's great to see projects develop and to be a part of trying out features when patches are released. Some people don't understand that development takes time, and others don't understand that when new developments go live, there can often be issues. I am supprised to read some of the very demanding comments in this particular thread, an awful lot of people seem to think you as developers owe them a perfect experience all of the time. Now while this may be a development goal, it's obvously not always possible. Development takes time, and issues can arrise, perhaps people should expect some issues rather than expect perfection at all times.

From what I read, this is the first patch that's been released for iGPmanager, and so if mistakes were made, they can be identified and sorted out for next time. I understand that some will reply with the classic 'But I've paid for it so it should work' line, and thats understandable, it's frustrating when things we pay for don't work, but I wish some people understood that they are not forced into buying things, they buy because they enjoy and want to be a part of things. So that means problems are included. How about taking a step back, realising it's.. well the early hours of the morning (at least for me) and think about the new features they will have to play with after going away for a while, getting on with real life and giving the developers here a little time to see what's working, whats not and think about solutions.

I am new to iGPmanager, I've done three races in the past, and upon finishing the third, I subscribed to access the 2d viewer, so I've probably been here a lot less time than some who in this thread through thier comments seem to think they've bought a stake in developers time.

Anyway, thanks a lot for the update, I look forward to continued development of iGPmanager.
