iGP Manager 26 v2.0

Last updated: Sun, 08 Mar 2026 03:20

Arriving just as the Formula 1 season begins, this is one of the biggest updates iGP Manager has seen in years. As we move closer to our vision of a unified events system, iGP Manager 26 v2.0 is big on gameplay, feature updates and a necessary revision for leagues.

Community competition is back at the heart of iGP. Full control of league schedules and rules are restored as default / free features and will remain so indefinitely. New league boosts like Classic Mode, Offline Mode and Realistic Setups combine depth with ease of play and a dose of nostalgia. We've also introduced a brand new rank system, reimagined UI/UX, major sprint racing improvements and more.

Your Leagues Revived

League rules, schedules, circuits, race days and times are now all back in the default (free) tier for leagues. The goal is simple: for league hosts to feel confident building communities in iGP Manager again. Instead of unifying the calendar, the rank system achieves our goal of unifying leagues. The greatest advantage is racing daily, so it is still encouraged, but with the new offline mode, you don't even have to be online every day to league race daily. All leagues are included in the ranking system, subject to healthy participation thresholds.

Hosted leagues are also now the default focus in league search, with iGP leagues available via an alternative "Quick Join" option. New players can also join leagues immediately after completing the tutorial, ensuring your leagues will receive more managers.

Ranks, Sprint and League Ratings

The new ranking system is the new league-wide and global hierarchy in iGP Manager.

Sprint and league racing are both important in this new system. Sprint gives players a faster competitive loop and a more immediate way to climb. Leagues remain a deeper, season-based competitive format at the heart of the game. Overall rank ties the two together.

Ranks represent progress in all modes of play, with a League Rating, Sprint Rating and a combined Overall rank. Your stronger mode carries more weight, while your weaker mode still contributes, making specialisation or consistency both viable paths to success.

As the year progresses, we will be adding more unique ways to utilise your rank, so earn those ratings on the track to enjoy the rewards as they arrive. Ranks will eventually unlock access, prizes and more. We have rebuilt the rating system so that you will be rewarded for your efforts.

League Boosts = More Gameplay

Now that league boosts no longer focus on admin, they provide brand new gameplay upgrades to your league, starting with three new modes of play introduced today.

Classic Mode

Classic Mode lets you go back in time. It forces 2D mode for all managers in the league and removes wheel-to-wheel racing altogether. Picture iGP Manager 2019 and you're there.

Offline Mode

Offline Mode gives leagues the option to run races in spectate-only form, with no live management input. This can even be customised per-race, providing an ideal way for leagues to remain competitive in the Hall of Fame without actually racing 7 days a week. You can race Monday to Friday and then have Saturday and Sunday as offline races to get your weekend back.

There are also numerous offline leagues in iGP Manager and communities who prefer this style of play as a permanent mode. There is now no need to enforce it or to track who is online - the game will enforce the rules for you. Everyone can only spectate the race in Offline mode when it is live, even if they try to play.

Car Setup Realism

One of my favourite parts of this update is the new hardcore sim-style car setup. You must find the perfect balance. Ideal setups? Banned. Shortcuts? Gone. A neat formula for the perfect setup? It's not that simple. Each parameter impacts not only the driver's comfort, but the overall car performance. Shorter gear ratios bring more acceleration. Wing levels even impact fuel economy.

We're going beyond what traditional PC manager games offer with our new modes in iGP Manager, introducing simulator level complexity. With 9 setup parameters, including new settings such as camber and toe, each has a real performance impact that will change how your car behaves. Choose between driver preferences and their performance impacts versus what works for their car on a given circuit.

For managers who want deeper prep, more engineering flavour and more room for skill expression outside the race itself, this mode opens a very exciting path.

League mode changes apply immediately

Another important change is speed of activation. League mode changes are instant. They are applied with no delay, from the next race. If a host enables Classic Mode, Offline Mode or Realistic Setups, the next race will use it. That means you can get started with these modes as soon as... yesterday!

UI overhaul

A new home built around your identity

The old home layout is gone. In its place is a command centre built around your team. Your car, your livery, your rank and the actions that matter most. Instead of feeling like a wall of disconnected tiles, the home page now feels much more like the living, breathing heart of your team.

Leagues brought to the front

Just as importantly, the home page now reflects the renewed focus on leagues. Current league standings, news, boosts and chat are all are surfaced directly with a single tap.

A wider UI/UX improvement

This update also marks the first phase of a broader interface overhaul across iGP Manager. The goal is refinement and a more intuitive flow. Race selection and preparation screens are now clearer for both sprint and league play. On mobile, navigation also becomes more context-aware through a dynamic action menu that can simplify down to the actions that matter on a given screen. This should make iGP Manager feel faster, cleaner and less cluttered, especially on smaller screens.

The Paddock

The Community page is now the Paddock. The Paddock represents the community and wider ecosystem surrounds the racing. It is where you will find leaderboards, leagues, the AI assistant, manufacturers, league rule voting, creator content, developer updates, forums and changelogs.

Public website refresh

Outside the app itself, we have also refreshed the public-facing website at igpmanager.com.

A big part of that is the new features page, which does a much better job of presenting what iGP Manager offers at a glance. If you want to show the game to a friend and explain why they should try it, the public website now does a much better job of backing you up.

Sprint racing changes

Sprint races now also feature an entry fee and prize money, making them feel more like real competitive events with risk and reward attached. If you achieve your objective, you make money. If you don't, you will lose money. Sprint rating also reinforces the connection between sprint participation and competitive progression. This should make sprint racing feel more immediate, more rewarding and more competitive, especially for players looking for a quick but meaningful race loop.

A big step toward the future of iGP Manager

iGP Manager 26 v2.0 is about putting competition, clarity and community back at the heart of the game.

It brings leagues back to the centre. It gives players a clearer competitive journey through the new rank system. It lays the groundwork for a stronger events ecosystem in the future. It improves the home experience, begins a broader UI/UX overhaul, and introduces new optional ways to play for communities that want more depth.

With the Formula 1 season beginning now, this feels like exactly the right moment to make that move.

We're starting the year off right, with a stronger competitive ladder, full control restored on leagues, a clearer sense of identity, and more reasons to race with friends.

A limited time league revival offer

To any leagues or league admins that decided to close at the iGP Manager 26 launch who would like to return after this update restored all the controls and added the new league modes, we are still able to revive your league. We can even restore the old managers. Simply contact us in the forum for more information.

@Jack Basford, amazing job, the updates makes this game so much more performance and engineering mindful. But I want to know if all features apply to the website igp manager, or only limited features are extended to the website? The various setup sliders arent visible to me, only the 3 old setup sliders are... i tried emptying the cache and reloading, but it isnt working... Thanks again

These constant changes confirm that you have unclear ideas, from the free championship settings you charge for them and then put them back for free, have you by any chance seen a demographic decline in users and have you taken a step back? Community at the center and there are people who have been waiting for an answer for months in the forum, as in support same exact thing, the most absurd thing is to change the graphics of the game again bah..

Just a quick query: my league is gold tier this season (first race tonight), but the new league modes are greyed out, in the settings. I’m guessing we’d need enough boosts, to be gold next season, before these unlock?? We currently have no boosts, for next season.

Jack, I must grant it to you. You delivered! I hope we can enter races today.

You began the year as AMR26 but now it's more likely the new Mercedes. Congratz!

I love the new difficulty for setup, althlugh it may be too difficult to fine tune, but that's ok. Confussion will bring more or less realism to the races, which is exactly as the real deal.

Thank you!
