Hi Jack! Greetings!

First, I want to acknowledge your effort. After the disappointment of the iGP Manager 2025 update (which felt like a regression), it is genuinely refreshing to see a CEO so dedicated and involved with the community. Unlike past experiences where moderators would ban players just for complaining, your openness to feedback makes us feel safe to speak up, and that is greatly appreciated.

However, while praise is due, we also need direct answers regarding the negative changes, without evasive responses.

1. League Settings & Monetization (The Main Issue) We understand the need to monetize, but moving previously free features behind a paywall is a fatal error. It feels like iGP is becoming a "rich kids' game."

The "League Boost" System: Locking basic options like custom race days behind the Gold Tier is unfair. Expecting a league to pool together ~$320 USD/year just to have basic control is excessive (even a 2-year iRacing sub is cheaper). This effectively kills small leagues and forces everyone into generic public leagues.

Suggestion: "Boosts" should offer new benefits (custom banners, custom points systems, manual disqualifications, weather control), not gatekeep features that used to be free.

(Note: Relying on "Daily Donuts" to get boosts is not a valid solution, as the drop rate is virtually non-existent).

2. Bugs & Game Stability We respect that you are an indie studio, but asking for more money while the game is unstable is frustrating. It feels like we are paying for an unfinished Open Beta.

Critical Issues: 10-minute delays to join races, cars flying or stopping dead on track, launcher crashes, and broken tire physics (Medium and Hard tires never heat up, making them useless).

Suggestion: Please implement true Open Betas before official releases. Let the community test the game on different devices and connections. As seen in gaming history (like Valve with HL2 and his filtration), community feedback before launch prevents disasters.

I hope you can provide a clear, direct answer as to why basic league management was paywalled. If this isn't addressed, the variety of unique leagues will disappear.

Good luck with the project. I am happy to see you involved again. Lesson learned from my time in dev: If you listen to your active users and make them happy, they will gladly spend money to support a project that respects them. Taking away features is not the way.

Best regards.

For all the faults and bugs that have been found since the update, I still don't see how people say it's "Pay-to-win". The league you're in is entirely your choice, there's nothing you can pay for that will give you an inherent advantage against someone else in your league, IMO it's a lazy argument that doesn't act as any form of constructive criticism and takes away from real issues the game faces which could be getting resolved sooner

2D Update
After reviewing the synchronisation issues with 2D (car positioning mismatches), we've decided that the best solution is to start again, using the 2D mini map from 3D Mode as a new foundation for 2D, rebuilding the 2D viewer on top of it. The old 2D system is a bit of a mishmash of years of code that has grown increasingly incompatible with 3D and hard to maintain, while the 2D minimap in 3D mode is a pure implmenetation of the 3D race. Unifying the systems, even if it may take a bit longer, makes the most sense. This ensures the best possible future for 2D.

Work on this will start tomorrow. Hopefully, the bulk of this work will be "copy-paste", overlaying the UI, zoom controls and hotkeys etc. It will take time, but hopefully not long, it looks achievable within 1 week and will provide a permanent solution for 2D issues, and reduce our workload in maintaining both in the process, meaning we can be more reliable in maintaining them. Given that we are making 2D the top priority for the next few weeks (for Classic mode) it's the right time to make a bold move like this.

Mal wieder keine Forschung und Rennergebnisse...dieses Spiel is kompletter müll.

I will investigate your case now. It's one of the strangest issues in the game at the moment because it has no obvious cause in code, the code is identical as before, but it is likely caused by the new structure of data in the car design, which now allows you to maintain multiple different leagues simultaneously (for VIP).

Alexis

That's a fantastic suggestion, thank you. It is just what we need. We don't have a large QA team (as you can probably tell), and what we did have in recent years got stripped back. This could open a lot of possibilities to roll out updates in stages and have them well tested before reaching the "fully live" state.

Our season just finished. Not only is bad to force us to pay to race properly, now from 21 race season, it's down to 6 without reason and we race every day now.

The 6 race season is a temporary stop-gap until you get moved onto the 15 race season cycle. Given that this obviously isn't clear, you provided useful feedback there. Thanks, I'll make sure a mail is sent out.

Jack
First, an apology. I’ll be direct, the 2026 update was rushed and caused disruption to your normal gameplay. That’s on us. A huge amount changed under the hood, vehicle physics (and then a subsequent rewrite of the physics to address cornering speeds), databases, race systems, league migrations and rescheduling, purchases, and platform infrastructure. To say an update of that scale was ambitious over the holiday season is an understatement. The experience you had in December wasn’t what we aim to deliver.

As of now, the platform is stable. Races, team management, calendars, designs, and purchases are all running reliably. Given the scope of the changes, bringing the system back to this state within 2-3 weeks, while also rewriting vehicle physics fundamentally, has been an intense process, but it’s done.

That work matters, because it unlocks what comes next.

January marks the start of work on Classic mode, Offline mode and more. I'll describe these below. I am pleased to announce that I will also be joined by more developers in the weeks ahead, which should improve our output going into February and beyond.

Classic Mode
Aimed squarely at managers who miss the feel of iGP Manager around 2019–2020. Classic mode will run entirely in 2D, by design. No 3D camera options and no wheel to wheel racing - it will be switched off in Classic Mode leagues. It’s a deliberate return to a specific style of play. It will be available as part of the Gold tier of League Boosts.

Offline Mode
Offline Mode will force spectate view in live races, removing live management entirely. Leagues will also be able to choose which races in a season run offline.

Realistic Car Setups
For hardcore leagues, we'll also be developing a new car setup model with deeper, realistic configuration settings. This will go beyond abstract sliders into parameters that resemble real motorsport engineering, wing angles in degrees, suspension stiffness, tyre pressures, and more granular control across the car.

The ability will exist to combine any numer of these features together via League Boosts. 2D racing, Offline Mode, and realistic setups will open the door to a style of league play that simply wasn’t feasible before.

Chassis Supplier
We do not expect further delays on the release now that the service is stable overall. This has been delayed and is targeted for mid-January release. Again, we apologise for the delays on this, it was not by design or intent, but the need for stability post-launch.

League Boosts
The focus going forward is simple: keep increasing the value they deliver. We are only able to devote the time to more league customisation because of the new league boosts system, which means developing such features can now be sustainable and actively supported.

Listening to Feedback
Community feedback is actively shaping development. Recent changes driven directly by player input include:

  • Classic Mode and Offline Mode - a direct result of discussions on the forum.

  • A 50% reduction in League Boost costs for our longest standing leagues

  • A 50% reduction in driver and staff atrophy, easing long term management pressure

  • Many direct UI and gameplay improvements

This isn’t a one off. As the direction of the game evolves, we’ll continue adjusting systems where it makes sense and where feedback is consistent and constructive. Please keep that input coming. It does matter. We are listening.

Marketing Push
This one is worth a special mention, because it can dramatically impact the population of Leagues, Sprint Races and more. We took the decision to hold off any marketing efforts until stability was achieved. We are nearing that point, and once we are there, we will begin a marketing campaign to increase engagement. In 2025 we had similar ambitions but never truly activated this at scale. We will be doing that in 2026.

Events and the Wider Ecosystem
Beyond leagues, as we move later into 2026, the shared scheduling system enables something we’ve wanted to do for a long time, game wide events. This includes timed events, special formats, and partnerships that create shared moments across the entire player base, with unique rewards you won’t find elsewhere. This is where the wider ecosystem starts to take shape.

Delivery Comes Next
What matters now remains ensuring that stability is lasting and then delivering all these features. The hard work of stabilising the platform is largely behind us. That allows development in 2026 to move faster and with more confidence. Feedback is continuing to shape what we build next, and the pace of updates will reflect that.

2025 ended roughly. No sugar coating that, but 2026 is a reset. The direction is set, the foundation is in place, and from here the focus is on features, depth, and steady improvement.

To everyone who has stuck with us, and to those choosing to continue supporting the game as it evolves, we don’t take that lightly. Thank you.

Merci avec votre mise à jour j’ai perdu 400 tokens😡, de plus impossible de se connecter aux courses, trop D’incohérent sur la gestion de pneus et carburant, l’ancienne version était meilleure.

Oh dear, you made us faint yesterday after last race, any idea when this 15 race season will be implemented??

Compound is only one, means two aren’t necessary. And is the length of races reduced? It was 100%
